I think the greatest ever player for United was George Best. I am lucky enough to be able to say I watched him every week, home and away. When you see those old clips of George, I can tell you that is how he played every week, in the days when football was hardly on TV. He was the complete player. He could tackle, pass, head, shoot, beat a man and he had speed too. In the days before substitutes, if a player went off injured, George would be the covering player. I think the only position he never played was in goal. I would even go so far as to say that George Best was the greatest player that I ever saw, bar none. And that includes Pele, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Eusebio. None of them could lick his boots!
