    Re: G.Neville vs W.Brown

If ever vidic or ferdinand gets injured, neville can move in as well, he will be a terrific cover.

It depends, if we sign a back up for ferdinand and vidic then wes should be the choice for right back but, if we dont sign a back up for central defence then you dont wana see wes giving his 100% on right back and if he gets injured we have no 1 to help vidic and ferdinand.

for me 50-50 wes and gary

    Buy Sergio Ramos!

If we can't, we should go wtih Wes because we have seen his consistency throughout this season. We can have Gary play in that position sometimes like in one Champions League leg we can have Gary and in the other we can have Wes.

We can also have him fill up for Patrice evra.

Ferguson has already said that Gary Neville will be his first-choice right-back next season, but that will depend if Gary can prove his fitness.

If Neville can come through pre-season then it will be a good battle for that right-back postion, Neville has already conceded he has a tough job but I think if Neville can get back to the level he was at before his injury then he would get the spot hands down. He contributes more to United's attacking play then Brown did last season, he has played over 500 games for the club, he is our club captain and is United through and through. Brown did have a really good season last year but for England he has struggled which would surgest he is not quite as good as Neville, who has never been questioned as England right-back. I think Brown will be used as cover at centre-half mainly next season and don't rule out Danny Simpson.

I hope Neville is going to be faster than Brown after being out of football for a year

Wes Brown every time for me now. Gary is a great backup to have, but Wes would be my first choice every time.

My heart says Neville but my mind says Brown. I'm a sentimental kind o'guy so Neville for me provided he's 100% fit.Big Smile

    Wes!

I know that Nev is a great United player but it would surely be unfair on Wes. His season has resulted in a call up to the England team.

    G.Neville vs W.Brown

In the coming season the position for the right back spot at MUFC is sure to be hotly contested now, with Gary Neville almost at his 100% fitness level. However with the amazing season that Wes Brown has had in his absense it would occur to me that he is sure to give an experinced Gary Neville a run for the number 1 spot. Come on guys lets here your views on who would be best suited for our right back role, in terms of speed, experince, tackling ability and reading of the game, and it also seems Ronaldo gets great support on his wing from both the players! This is sure to be a hard decision for SAF!
