I think the Berbatov rumours are coming to an end, with MUFC not interested un signing the Bulgarian, SAF has really got me in for a suspense filled ride:)

Re: If not Berbatov, then who?

I am getting a bit anxious, I just hope we sign someone soon, but with most star players happy to be at their present clubs and clubs asking astronomical transfer fees anyway, are we really going to sign anyone. Is there anyone available on the market that is really a real target other than Huntelaar, who Fergie chooses just to ignore, although the player himself has expressed direct interest in MUFC:(

    Steven Veljanovski:

I think a player that would surprise a lot of people is Goran Pandev from Lazio.

Every time I hear the scores from Italy Pandev is always on the score sheet.

He is like Berbatov, would be heaps cheaper and is only 24.

He's 25 on Monday. Not noticed him as a major star. Much would depend on his transfer value and if Sir Alex had noticed his potential.

    Locked

With that money we could sign: Villa or Aguero. They have provided enough proof of their true worth....about the rest.....

I'm not convinced by Eto. His injuries lately seem to point to a ceratain fragility....

Huntelaar for all the hype shown in the threads has ye to convince at a higher stage (he was absent at the Eurocup and if the Brazilian just transferred to Man City is indicative of the level of the Dutch League...then he is ...useless).

Benzema has not provided any real proof of his woth (either with the national team or other...we only saw some glimpses during the Champions....is that enough proof!).

I would still like to see Bervatov in a Man Utd shirt. It would be awesome.

    1. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar may cost not more than 20 million pound because Ajax bought him for 7.5 million pound. 2. Goran Pandev may cost not more than 15 million pound because he was included in the Stankovic's deal. 3. Samuel Eto'o may cost more than 20 million pound because Barcelona bought him for 18.9 million pound. 4. Roque Santa Cruz may cost not more than 20 million pound because Blackburn bought him for 3.5 million pound. 5. David Villa may cost more than 20 million pound because Valencia bought him for 8.2 million pound. 6. Dimitar Berbatov may cost more than 20 million pound because Tottenham bought him for 10.9 million pound. 7. Karim Benzema may cost not more than 20 million pound because he was brought up at Olympique Lyon. 8. Radamel Falcao may cost not more than 20 million pound because River Plate got him for nothing. 9. Sergio Agüero may cost more than 20 million pound because Atletico Madrid bought for 15.8 million pound. Option; 1. Huntelaar - Van Basten made him Ajax's captain & he is not for sale. 2. Pandev 3. Santa Cruz 4. Benzema - last year he had signed a new contract; highest paid player in France 5. Falcao Best option; 1. Pandev - his scoring rate is 0.32 goal per game at Lazio 2. Santa Cruz - his scoring rate is 0.53 goal per game at Blackburn 3. Falcao - his scoring rate is 0.66 goal per game at River I choose Santa Cruz because he played in England and he will adapt easily into United's squad

    One United:

Pandev is a good striker but Kun Aguero would be the best choice

The far best choice - but what can you do, when he says, he won´t leave?

Havent really tracked this player, but making a good point about the age factor, we definatley need a young striker.

hopefully it is berba but a scandinavian newspaper has said it had basically made things up for a year about the way united have pursued berbatov, benzema hasnt publicly said he wants to join and the same goes for huntelaar.

Got him my fantasy team never really thought of him at first but i have to say i agree big strong and can hold the ball up and he would score more goals playing for an attacking side like use and would only cost about 15m to get him!!!!!!!!!
