Im glad some one else thought that as well he should have gone searching for the ball. it was as if the game was just going past him. but i must admit he didnt do much wrong when given the ball

i think possebon can be the 1 to watch in the coming years as he will develop into a more creative hard working player. i saw the game against kaiser chiefs, his passing is excellent, i loved his calmness and he can tackle too. the only thing i noticed as a downside of his game was he needs a few more games with the first team and he will get more confidence.

 i was not that impressed by him today. he didnt really have much to do and he didnt really go looking for the ball like great midfielders do when they dont seem to be in the game. i think he needs to improve before he gets a shot in the first team i think he could be a good player but will need to go out on loan to get first team football some where (maybe championship).

Yeah, he was so so today against inferior oppostion so definitely not ready for the pace and physical demands of the EPL just yet.

I think that if he's going to partner Anderson in midfield in the future, his tackling needs to improve. I know Anderson can tackle aswell, but Possebon seems a bit too elegant and needs to add some tenacity to his game if he's going to play in Center Midfield. Also, *** up a bit would help him, as he doesn't seem very strong.

Other than that, I'm incredibly excited about this boy. His vision, composure and skill is out of this world, and for a kid who's only just turned 19, he did absolutely fantastic today

The game against the Chiefs was the first time I saw Possebon play, and he impressed me so much!!!

He didn't make a single mistake, was so calm, peaceful, his passing were great, I was so impressed.. I think he is going to be a huge success!

It was his first ever game for the the main team and not the reserve and it looked like he played for us for years!!

We need someone with more attacking flair and guile than what the other central midfielders at Man Utd can offer... Anderson, carrick and hargreaves are by no means great in attack but they are pretty solid defensively... :)

 

 

are you kidding me? anderson, age 20, already showed signs of pushing up through the midfield into attack. his shooting just needs work, and you have a class attacking midfielder. 

I couldn't agree more, Anderson has shown signs of attacking.  As for Possebon, I'm excited to see what the kid can do!

I cant believe you posted Anderson isnt good in attack! He is an attacking midfielder who is strong enough to defend, his attacking abilities outway his defensive no doubt. And because he dosent dance around the pitch like Ronaldo doesnt mean he has no flair, i admit he hasnt shown it much at Utd but watch the clips of him playing for Porto and you will see flair...

ya i agree! Anderson is more attack minded than Possebon, Rodrigo is more of a Patrick Viera mould.. anderson=next ronaldinho!! Rodrigo=next Keane!

anderson is highly hardworking player. Last season when manchester united vs portsmouth for FA cup, anderson give a lot of trouble to portsmouth defender with great techniquelly things and also to the arsenal when he run past through the arsenal player from the middle line untill to the opponent goal post! Anderson also good in making trouble to the attackers. He's like to winds up opponent (to much FM. hehe!) and also great when attacking. He also ran fast, good technique include killer pass. I'm very dissapointed when people say that to him!

It really does make me laugh sometimes just how little some fans know about our own players! To say Anderson is not good going forward is like saying eggs dont go with bacon!! Ludicrous! Anderson is a great attacking midfielder, and although he didnt score last season, he showed enough for me with his running with the ball, strength and power to suggest that there is alot more to come from the samba star! As for Rodrigo, I admit watching him the ressies he does stand out with some great performances! However, to suggest that he should now be placed in the first team is a little far fetched! It would mean dropping one of the more established players, and for me, the likes of Scholes, Hargreaves, Carrick, Fletcher, and Anderson all deserve to be ahead of the lad, not just becuase their established, but on sheer merit.....they were all superb performers throughout last seasons campaign!! Im all for bringing youth through, and Rodrigo looks like he has what it takes, but give him time....there is no need to rush him through!!
