You're also missing the point that his offer of an extended trial was probably offered due to an injured defence? Average footballers tend not to step up when needed. Prunier is an example during his United trial. The end
your missing the point completly, how can it be fair to judge a player who was on trial, and the whole 1st team defence including the keeper was out,the fact he played well in his first game proves he stepped up to the plate,in the second game he was poor but it was only his 2nd utd game and he was the main defender.im not saying he was the best player in the world but calling him the worst after one game is pathetic,
The point of a trial is to impress. The contrast between the two performances were vast, and his career afterwards was fitting. He's regarded as one of the worst, because we've always had a wealth of top quality defenders - and the days when United were perhaps not dominating British football are times which you could perhaps pick out the shocking players - but we don't, well very few people do. Just worth noting if we're going to do the whole worst ever player thing, no one comes close to Djemba-Djemba, again another player who's post United career represents how terrible he really was.

    That team would've been invincible...

nice try but prunier has never been on utds books
He still represented United...and not very well you might add
wrong again..he played well in his first game even though,it was a makeshift back four, and he was supposed to be on trial with the reserves...in the 2nd game he was poor but irwin and smicheal got injured before the game so you could hardly fault him for that...he has been given a bad press unfairly, fergie actually asked hm to stay on but he declined the offer.n
Didn't Michael Carrick play in a makeshift defence in Wolfsburg and play pretty well too? But that's something you wouldn't like to hear. Prunier was never United quality, and used his own brain to reject the offer. Regardless of a makeshift back four, leaking 4 goals is just not right - Prunier was a reason for that.
first game...no bruce, pallister, may, and he set up a goal and hit the crossbar...secong game he was poor but there was no shmicheal,or irwin aswell...you can hardly blame him for not playing brilliant and against spurs.
Hahahaha. This is great! Quick suggestion...the team lacks a winger - can we bring in the mighty Karel Poborsky to the midfield and maybe put Don'g on the bench
