    Re: Sell Carrick

Good Lord...if this bickering is going on when we are winning...what on earth would happen if we were loosing? The point about carrick is whether SAF is keen on getting Sneijder (or Modric for example). It would do a lot of good to the likes of Cleverley, Anderson and others (even Johnny Evans who looked better taking the ball forward than as a central defender) to have this sort of player...it would be awsome for our team and a live lesson for the future ManUtd midfield...(and a relief for Rooney having to go up and down every game) SAF said he was done buying....but if he were not would he say so? Do think so...he has not been 24 years at the helm by letting someone else guess what the club needs to do...so lets give him the breathing space and enjoy the build up of the new MaUTd...Final point is... yes we should sell Carrick...and yes we should sell Bervatov too...

    Re: Sell Carrick

Carrick does not need to be sold, he just has to raise his game. Simple! I'm just not sure where he confidence has gone but I do know we cant keep hoping that he returns to the player he once was. Remember the 7-1 against Roma!!?

    I want that Carrick back.

It's Squeaky Bum Time and We've got the experience now to cope

He keeps the ball i dont know why you want him to dribble thats not his game and why would we sell anouther midfielder when we are light in that area

he didnt have a bad game today

Light in the area? Light on quality, not on players- Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher, Cleverley, Gibson, Giggs and maybe Pogba and Morrison, with many other players being able to play there such as Jones and Park. With the addition of Sneijder (likely) I would be more than happy to let Carrick and Gibson go. Today he didn't have a bad game, but in my mind he should change his profession to being a magician. Being able to disappear in front of 70,000 people consistently is bloody brilliant. He offers nothing.
Good one mate.....well he is a good spokesman to so he can be magician/anchor!

he sits with the back 4 all game and makes sideways and backward passes all day, is scared to dribble the ball upwards and looses the ball alot....he is not a enforcer and he has not bit of creativity....he also dosent make tackles for a guy who sits around the center of the pitch....bloody useless and it shows everytime hes on the pitch....just look how dangerous we look when hes off the field....I SUPPORT UNITED and this is my OPINION because i want the best for united....so dont call me a retard or a muppet...id take 18yo pogba over him all day or even anderson...but not fond on ando as the main DM.
i really truely agree with you and one of the biggest problems he has is that he loses tha ball ALOT, he doesnt tackle players and let them pass righ through him a big example was in the champions league final vs barcelona he let xavi walk all over the center midfield and do whatever he wanted to do, in the big games he does to many errors, he can have the winning attitude but not the balls and cleverley will end up taking his position easily this season..

Sell Carrick don't be be "muppet" he keeps the ball so well we don't have many who can do that in the middle. Yes today he didn't look great but, with Scholesy gone he's the experience ball retainer. Great to see the youth spank the money mad city scum get in there!!

please stop defending carrick...he is just not good anymore like 3years back and he is old already.he always passes d ball backwards, doesnt mark well and annoying slow in decision making.if we want to move further especially in europe then carrick is not the man to occupy our midfield.i really liked him 3 years back but i have lost hope in him

    Re: Sell Carrick

Carrick is good to keep the ball. But he is far from the players. Who are most save, but still quickest with the ball. Determination. He is bit to slowly compare to the best holding midfield players out there. Carrick is a level under the best out there. To best you have to be really fast and quick with the ball too. Carrick body hold him back to the be the best. Carrick is the tall but not the fastest and quickest players, with our without the ball. That is why and where we can improve and strenght up. Compare to our defend. Its hard to strenght up there. Compare to Smalling vs Carrick. You see Smalling is tall and big too. But Smalling is really quick with or without the ball and he is a defender. Carrick is a good holding midfield player, but to be honest and compare to the best out there. We can easily find a better central or defensive midfield player. A player who are quick and keep the temp and pace up.

    Re: Sell Carrick

I think people here with different opinions have somewhat both right..... Carrick is good at defending, but he lacks other skills...... And IMO we don't need that much of defense in the midfield, since we got very good CB's........ Just look at todays game, with Cleverly and Anderson on the pitch together everything went on very great...... That doesn't mean we should sell Carrick though, not right now at least, as we are short of CM's and I don't see us signing a new one this summer......
