    Re: My Starting Eleven

I actually love Berba and I think the young players will learn a lot from his guile and unnatched ball control skills but I'm thinking the sooner we get our young 'uns established the better ; they will overhaul our main rivals domestically and in Europe as they transition following aging and retiring players... esp. Barca's adjustment to a retiring Iniesta and an aging Xavi (when he finally does age :-)) [P.S. Messi finds it very difficult to play without these two, hence his poor showing for the National team so am not worried about him]

SmileStill think Fergie needs to buy a couple of midfield players,Berbatov should be sold, needs to many chances to score.

The likes of Fletcher,Anderson and Carrick have been around so long and sill not good enough in the midfield,we need help.

Re: Team against Arsenal - Carrick starting?

With Arsenal so weak I see Fergie definatley sticking with 2 upfront. What with Aresnal's injury problem at centre-back is going to be too easy an oppurtunity to exploit, even if Vermaelen is fit he is prone to coming to high up the pitch chasing forwards which the pace of Nani/Young/Welbeck/Hernandez will have a field day exploiting.

In midfield there is a hard choice to make. I think we will stick with a 2 man midfield by the choice is between Cleverley who has played well and will give us more attacking thrust or Carrick who will stay calmer and will try to close down any space that Ramsey and Rosicky want to burst forward into or van Persie to drop into. It's a hard call and I'm thankful Fergie is the one who has to make it not me :D.

I don't think this is actually the right game to bring Carrick in. We don't need to hold the ball like we would usually in a Carrick-like performance, Arsenal only have 2 out and out first team centre mids available in Ramsey and Rosicky - with the latter often being their weakness. I hope we really get at them and go for it, there is always need for respect but playing a Carrick or Berbatov tends to bode well in a patient sort of approach rather than an all out approach - and this is coming from a Carrick 'fanboy'.

Team against Arsenal - Carrick starting?

The young guns have brought6 home the points in the first two games and played some good football in patches. But I have been worried by how little cover the midfield gives the defence. We give away so much space in midfield. Both Anderson and Cleverley are attacking midfield really and we played with two wide, attacking wingers (although Ashley Young did so much running against Spurs). I think he picked this team partly because of the opposition. But I am sure he will give Arsenal more respect. That means five in midfield and my guess is Carrick will get a game as he is the only true defensive midfielder we have. Any thoughts before th team is announced?

    redkryptz:

                     De Gea

          Smalling Jones Evra

                    Cleverley

       Nani                         Young

    Welbeck Rooney Hernandez

That would be my formation since Arsenal are terrible and we should use them to get our goal difference up.

Haha maybe in Fifa. Not even sure if it would work there though. I mean it's still Arsenal. It's not like we are playing some team from League 2.

    Know what I mean

I feel fergie may break the habit of a life-time and keep same team 4 two games in a row. If things go wrong theres quality on the bench. i never want 2 get 2 complacent but i feel at home against a weakish Arsenal team who are missin a few in good form i feel a 2-0/3-0 win will HOPEFULLY be in order

Vidic is out for 5 weeks.. Hernandez will make his 1st start of the season.. Jones will play alongside Evans at back-line.. We need at least 1 experienced player in every part of the team so Fletcher will start in the middle.. Hernandez Rooney Young Anderson Fletcher Nani Evra(c) Evans Jones Smalling De Gea Subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Fabio, Cleverly, Giggs, Park, Wellbeck

Re: Manchester United vs Arsenal: Predicting the Lineup

Park, Rooney, Evra, Nani, Young and Cleverley might be one of the experienced players against bigt teams. So, I'm sure that they will start especially Park. Young should be in starting XI because he is in top form. So, we should use 4-3-3. With 2 young and 1 experienced in Centre Midfield, we should have a strong pack of midfielders. Widemen, of course Young and Nani will start together. Rooney could be a lone striker. These maybe the 'special duties' for some players in the list. Smalling; although he had played right back for number of times, he maybe have a strong opponent down the right flank(Arshavin, Clichy, Gibbs, Miyaichi, Walcott) but he can switch position with Jones who had experienced playing right back too. Park, he could be Right Mid aside of playing Centre Mid. He could be used for some defensive duties too (RWB). Cleverley, he maybe will be given the Box to Box midfield role. That's all, Thanks :D
