I am not sure myself about the time line.

But who knows, even if we upped our bid and paid that £5-6 million more, it still might have been too late

From what i remember we made a bid and it wasnt sucessful and then City got him.

it was the usual bull sh!!t we make superstars not buy them drivvel.. where is the superstar now as i cannot see one.. we need to start paying the money for class players as phil jones was the best buy in close season and de gea coming on also. have we seen much of ashley young apart from his 2 goals against arsenal?? he needs to up his performances in my oppinion anyhow the players he missed out on is incredible..the list is endless but of course no value in market..lol
