    Take That:
Is the OP not on about Scottish players that played for Utd that won the POTY award?

It's about the winners of the Scottish Football Writers Player of the Year award, based on the Scottish league, not nationalities, apologies if my response came across as cheeky or anything.

Winners of the award who then went on to play for United, Moyesy's right with the fifth, didn't think a goalkeeper would have won the award.

    That's 5 then, thread over.

    Take That:
    MarcRed:

Henrik Larsson is definately one, then McClair, Strachan and Buchan, can think of a 5th though.

Larsson couldn't be one, he was Swedish

It refers to the SPL Player of the Year Award... not just for Scots.

Ill go for Marc's 4... plus Andy Goram???

So Ronaldo and Cantona never won the English version?

United's Scottish Players of the Year

Our latest question relates to winners of the Scotland Football Writers' Association Player of the Year award. We reckon five of these went on to play for United - and we're not counting the fact that the entire 1974 World Cup squad were handed the prize which would obviously bring more players into the reckoning! So we're focusing on individual winners only and the results will appear here at 5pm today - opt for your five answers without 'Googling' it and see how you fare!
