As you may be aware there have been a number of incidences of inappropriate behaviour on Talking Reds by a very small minority of users. This behaviour has had a negative impact on other users’ enjoyment of Talking Reds and has generally compromised the site as a place where fans can go to share and discuss their views. In light of recent events, we have been reviewing how we deliver the Talking Reds service to ensure that fans’ experience is not compromised in future. This review is on-going but there a number of trial changes that have been made that we wanted to make you aware of.
Firstly, all posts will be pre-moderated. Whilst this will delay posts going live, we expect the turn around to be quick.
Secondly, we have increased the level of moderation on the site to ensure that posts do appear quickly once submitted by users.
Finally, the boards will close at 10pm (GMT) each night and therefore will be ‘read only’ until the following morning when they re-open at 10am (GMT). I should stress that these measures are a trial and will be reviewed again in the new year.
We believe these changes represent a significant step forward in improving fans’ experience of using Talking Reds but would ask for your continued support of highlighting any inappropriate behaviour on Talking Reds via the usual channels.

Christmas Forum Opening Hours
During the Christmas period, the forums will operate a reduced service.
The forums will be set to read only at certain times where users will only be able to view submitted content. The ability to post messages will be restricted during this time.
The opening times are as follows;
December 24th Forums set to Read only at 1800
December 25th Forums set to Read only all day
December 26th Forums open for posting 1500 – 2000
December 27th – 28th Normal posting throughout
December 31st Forums set to Read only at 1800
January 1st Forums set to Read only all day
January 2nd Normal posting throughout
