    Re: Rafael instead of Valencia!!

Don't understand Smalling at LB and Rafael on the bench. I'd have been happier with Smalling at CB if he's fit and Jones in midfield instead of either Giggs or Carrick.

    Rafael instead of Valencia!!

Its better if we play rafael as our RB today!! He has an attacking style and is better at defending than valencia!! Im starting to feel that we need him more now! If he never got them injuries he would be up there with one of the best in that position!

Re: What should our formation / line up be sunday?

Lineup I'm not sure on since Rafeal has been on the bench for 2 games now but hasn't played so is he fit or do we still have no true RB (by the way a position last summer I said needed reinforcing) and I really don't want to see Valencia as a RB but I guess there is no other option with Vida out for the season, Evans calf injury, and Smalling being ill kind of kills our defensive options. I do think we'll get the win but it is going to be a tight game.

Go back to our good old European system, 4 5 1
I totally agree, in tough away games and against all of the better sides we simply have to go back to 4-5-1. Especially as midfield is our weakest area, we need more bodies in there! My team would be De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Pogba, Jones, Nani, Chicarito. I would give Pogba a chance, with two midfielders next to him, he could well flourish! Drop Rooney until he gets his head right!!
I agree. The idea of dropping Rooney might not be as bad as it may sound. His form has been inconsistent this whole season, and in important games, where he was needed the most, he failed to show up. After the ....erh...Newcastle game, I ponder if any other of our attacking players would have done better with the opportunity he was given in the first half I.e. the rebound shot, and when he was put threw by..erh..Giggs. An angry Rooney might be good for us, and this drop might reignite his drive to perform. A formation of:

    ...................................Lindergaard(gk)................................

    Rafeal(rb)...........Ferdinand(cb)....Jones(cb).........P. Evra(lb)

    ........................M. Carrick(rdm)......Pogba(ldm).....................

    A. Valencia(rm)...............L. Nani(cam)................Park Ji Sung(lm)

    ............................D. Welbeck/J. Hernandez(St)........................

Might not be that bad. Going into this game, it feels like most teams have figured us out in term of how we play ( Alan Pardew comment after Newcastle game). If we ....erh.... go into this game with the same tactics we used in the last two games it will surely mean defeat. The only questionable position in this formation is the ldm and lm position. We do not have any world class option available to fit players into that position. If we have bought Martinez, De Rossi, Tiote, Rodwell, etc. In the ldm position, it will definetly strengthen our midfield. I believe Of our current players, it might not be that risky to start Pogba. Compared to a 38 yrs Giggs, inconsistant Anderson, average Gibson, or a winger in park. That what happens when you do not streghthen the correct areas of your team. Anyway, the most important factor for us winning to morrow is determination and....erh...consistency. Without those a formation does not mean anything.

What about Lindegaard instead of Dr Gea ? Otherwise, good team selection. Time to test Pogba in battle.

Take your "prophet of doom" attitude elsewhere. Why depress people even further with your negativity? You claim that SAF forgets this that and the other..how do you know any of this? Stop being hateful and may your wish for a 4.0 thrashing by City be reversed

    Rafael........Rio........Jones.......Evra

    Valencia...Carrick.....Anderson.....Nani

    ...............Rooney......Welbeck...........

Sub: Lindegaard, Fryers, Giggs, Berbatov, Hernandez, Pogba, Cole..

    Score: 2-1 United..

This seems like our best possible lineup, I can't believe some of the people saying we can't wIn and don't deserve to get a trophy this season, you don't support a team when they win and slate them when they're off form in fact you should get right behind them more than ever, you all act as though we were the team who before less than a year ago hadn't won a trophy for 32 years, seriously stop feeling sorry for yourselves and enjoy a great match tommoro, if we had beaten our last 2 opponents you'd still be hailing carricks good form and rio's cleans sheets so we lost 2 games last year we did that against Chelsea and Liverpool but won the league by 9 points, City are mssing yaya, kolo, Barry, dzeko, Nasri, balotelli that means they have to play auger as a lone striker probably, we most sefinitlwy have a chance!

Predictions for tomorrow (City V Manchester United)

I just wondered what you guys think, but personally I think we will win ...... bold I know, but I have a feeling City are not going to take this game seriously and adopt a blase manner. Yes, we have been playing bad lately and yes we miss our defenders and mid but we are going into the match as underdogs, and city are without some of their best players .... 2-1 United

It's not wise to support blindly fergies decision. Ronaldo questioned about fergies tacties openly while we get beaten by barcelona in champions league but fergie couldn't tell him anything because he was ronaldo. I hope we use our brain and think about blackburn game twice .Why fergie told lie to the media about rooneys injury because he knew that what he did with rooney it has not any impact on rooney but it had a huge impact on the game. He can fined rooney two weeks wages instead of one week wages but alow him to play against blackburn. Did you people notice what he did with newcastle , he didn't even bother to show some aggression because he does realise it's worthless. Rooney always give 100% but against newcastle he didn't probide even 50%. I hope he will be serious against city game.
