Re: My line up for City game and reasons.

What I'd LIKE to see... although I think SAF will probably play Carrick unfortunately... Lindegaard, Rafael, Smalling, Ferdinand, Evra, Valencia, Jones, Giggs, Nani, Rooney, Berbatov If he plays Carrick, as I expect, I hope he has a rocket up his *** and is told in no uncertain terms to chase and close down when we lose possession. I am so sick of seeing him saunter back waving his arms at other players rather than exert himself. I know De Gea will be hoping to start but he just has to recognise that he isn't physically strong enough yet. Rafael should play in the position he was bought to play in. Smalling might well be over his tonsilitus and should revert to playing alongside Rio. Valencia has looked pebetrative and far, far less wasteful than Nani and should go back to his rightful position. Jones is a midfielder for me and would complement Giggs' experience and big game mentality perfectly with his drive and energy in the middle of the park. Nani can switch wings. I expect him to score, cutting infield when Evra overlaps and striking with some of the precision which he has been lacking lately. Rooney's place is not in doubt. Berbatov has the close control and confidence from having been scoring for fun recently to deserve his place.

    xmas:
What kind of stupidity all those "line-ups" that leave out Berbatov. Of our 4 currently fit strikers, only he is in form with 6 goals in 3 games. Oh, wait, that was against "lesser opposition", no, wait, he doesn't run enough, no, wait, none of the other players like him, no, wait, he's too lazy, no, wait, he's not a "big game player like Park", etc. etc. go all the haters. Truth is, Hernandez is lately looking about as dangerous as a boy who just wet himself, Welbeck is running around looking for the 1990's again so his kid-n-play haircut will come back in style, and Rooney looks about as interested in scoring as a eunuch would. We can't play these guys just because of their reputation or what they did last season a la Chicharito. City are not unstoppable. Just ask West Brom. The problem is we are incredibly stoppable lately!
People are predicting what they think the Line-up will be, the fact is Berba is unlikely to start, we need 5 players in midfield or else we'll lose the midfield battle, that means we'll play 1 up front and can you really see Fergie choosing Berba over Rooney, Hernandez or even Welbeck in a tough away game with City

Re: Line up + Predictions against Man City FA Cup

    De Gea

    Rafael - Ferdinand - Jones - Evra

    Valencia - Carrick - Pogba - Anderson - Nani

    Rooney

Subs: Lindegaard, Fryers, Giggs, Park, Welbeck, Berbatov, Hernandez

    Call me crazy...

I think we'll lose if we play with two strikers I think we'll lose honestly

    De Gea

    Rafael - Ferdinand - Jones - Evra

    Valencia - Carrick - Anderson - Nani

    Rooney

    Welbeck

Subs: Lindegaard, Fryers, Giggs, Park, Pogba, Berbatov, Hernandez

Some people think football is a matter of life and death I assure you it's much more serious than that

What should our formation / line up be sunday?

i think we need to play 433. Welbeck + Rooney + Nani as the front 3. If Evans is fit then i would partner him with Ferdinand in defence and play Jones defensive midfielder along with Carrick and Giggs

We have to control the midfield therefore I would go for a five man midfield - Nani Carrick Anderson Giggs and Valecia. A lone striker - Rooney but with Nani and Valacia sloting in to operate as extra strikes especially when he comes back to the midfield the two operate as twine strikers. Giggs to operate in the midfield to slot in balls for Nani Rooney and Valecia. Anderson and Carrick to sit back and protect the back four of Rafeal Fedinard Johns and Evra. 4 - 2 -3 -1 James

With no Smalling or Evans. I think we need Carrick at Centre back with a midfield 3 of Giggs, Anderson, and Jones

Re: Line up + Predictions against Man City FA Cup

Sir Alex should start with Rafael as right back and Valencia as right midfield against Newcastle. Rafael played central midfield against Blackburn. Then benched against Newcastle. Should start as right back against Newcaslte. So i will start with this. Lindergaard - Rafael - Rio or Smalling - Jones - Evra + Valencia - Carrick - Anderson - Nani + Rooney + Chicharito. Valencia as right midfield and Nani as left midfield. Valencia is best as right midfield. And lately he and many is playing with white football shoes. I recognize he is a lot quicker and quicker acceleration. Nani shall get back to straightforward football. He is using too much Ronaldo tricks, its not effience. Bring back to direct and quick football.
