Re: For ManUtd.com: Your best ever United news?

It is definitely when Antonio Valencia returned to the field against Chelsea I think, after his injury, and reading that the crowd celebrated his return. I read it on the newspaper cuz I couldn't watch the game and I went straight to the internet to find the video where he comes as a substitute and I watched all the crowd cheering for him... A fellow Ecuadorian, receiving an ovation from the fans of the greatest team in Europe... Epic, legendary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the Summer of 2003. Utd hadn't really gone into the transfer. Was in Work and got the news that Utd got a Brazilian world cup winner. I was thinking YES we got Ronaldinho. Best news ever, Which lasted all day until I got home and found out it was...........KLEBERSON. Was only to get worse with Djemba Djemba bought that year as well. Well in hindsight that news of a Brazilian world cup winner coming to Utd was the best news I've heard; bearing in mind I thought it was going to be Ronaldinho.
I have a sense of myself but I'm not too aware!

Best ever news was that there were survivors from the Munich air crash, and that the likes of the great Bobby Charlton, Harry Gregg and thankfully Sir Matt Busby survived to kick start a new generation. Todays youngsters can learn a lot from the grat Sir Bobby Charlton. His love, committment and desire to play for this great club (money was not a factor) is legendary.

Signing Van Nisteorooy after his injury is up there. My overall best was when it came through that we'd signed Tevez. Despite how it turned out in the end, I said when he signed that we were going to win the Champions League, and turned out to be right. Signing Michael Owen too, that was a good day.

Re: For ManUtd.com: Your best ever United news?

There are so many, but for me the two that stick out for me was Sir Alex not retiring, the worry of who was going to take over from him was imense, and I think that was shown by all the players too that season, but the releif when he said he was going to carry on. I know we have that worry to come again some day hopefully way in the future!! And the second was Wayne Rooney retracting his transfer request, I was so shocked when the news broke that he wanted to leave, I was at work and I thought my work collegue who is a Liverpoll fan was totally winding me up I didn't believe it at all, but then watching SS news, sent me in to shock, why would he want to leave our great club. My shock tunred into anger when Wayne released his statment questoning the club. Still in shock the news then broke again the next day he wanted to stay, I could have slapped him for putting us through that :), but like most Utd fans, and most fans that can be a little fickle :) my mood changed and my love for Wazza was straight back, it was wonderful news, seeing him kissing the Utd badge agaisnt City made my day!!!

Not overly concerned, but how come these features really come to fruition? Or am I blind that I can't see it on manutd.com? If you're going to have us share our thoughts for the purpose of a webby feature, please could they go ahead for once?

Re: For ManUtd.com: Your best ever United news?

Keano signing a new contract in 2000 was a big one and Scholesy's return last week but the best news I ever heard was probably when United signed Tevez after Hargreaves, Anderson and Nani. I knew then that United would be big challengers in Europe. It was a statement of intent after losing to AC Milan in the semi final a few months before and we went on to win the Champions League that year, Tevez and Hargreaves having great seasons. Unfortunately they both left for City!!!

Best United news for me has to be the night when I heard the result confirming Aston Villa had failed to win their match which means United are English Champions for the first time in 26 years and the first time in my lifetime! We had been so close year before and it was so heartbreaking to eventually lose out to Leeds. No one could have imagined the unbelieveable continued success that has followed in the decades ever since, but what a journey we have been on thanks to Sir Alex! We are so lucky to follow this great club must appreciate all that it has given us . Long may it continue ! GLORY GLORY MAN UTD

It was one day in 2008, when my brother came home from work and told me that Dimitar Berbatov (my favorite player) signed a contract with ManU (my favorite team). It was like a dream came true. (:
