    Still didn't explain why you think Jones best position will be as a Center back, and repeated the stuff on midfielders from another post, which was totally irrelevant to this one.
    I just think Jones is a defender and a very good 1.I think hes more suited to playing at the back Jones said so himself hes like Terry in the way he plays if you know what i mean.Yes he has done very well in midfield but i think its just a short term thing his long term future will be a CB still who knows.

    Jones looked his best in positions where he was free to go forward (center midfield and right back). Smalling isn't a problem since there's need for two starting center backs. Rio an Vidic are the ones who lost their starting place, Rio because he can't keep his fitness up week in week out and he's playing a role we cannot continue to rotate like we do now, and Vidic because a ligament at his age is more of a problem than people here seem to understand.

    Fryers can play in the center, but he's a left back. Rio can't play a string of games without getting injured and Vidic won't be at the top when he comes back from his horror injury. As shown by the fact that we had to play Carrick, Evra and Berba in the center of defence- we need a center back.

    true but rio wont play every game, vida might not be the player he was when he comes back, fryers will be used as left back, to actually challenge evra and be our future left back, so really we have smalling, jones(who seems better in a holding mid role where he can bomb forward), evans and veseli, so only 3 proper centre backs, and im not a great fan of evans, theres always a mistake in him

    thank you, everyone knows that this is a rare circumstance, otherwise there wouldnt be a big fuss would there, and by the way Ak, we are 2nd in league, not sure if you know, but that means we will be in champs league next year.

    I doubt we'd be ok with losing 6 experienced players at the same time. I think a couple of them will leave this summer. Berba and another one.

    Subotic and and Hummels are like Anderson and Cleverley early this season, they complement each other and in some games they both play poor then some hummels plays better bail out Subotic then Subotic plays better etc...but Hummels was linked to Juventus and didnt rule out a move plas Subotic said he wants to come to england, i think he's vida replacement, would rather subotic anyday btw, i do beleve that next season is berbatov,giggs, vidic ferdinand, park and evra last season
