If Spurs get AEG to buy them they will have enough to compete with the big boys for transfers and they will also get that new stadium sooner than later to help them with the financial fair play guidelines. Things are definitely moving in the right direction for them! New ownership, new stadium, bigger budget all points to one name Jose Mourinho....Eden Hazard is definitely a possibility for them now and dare I say it they are favorites to land his siggy.

I think if Hazard did join Spurs it would be a great signing for them.Hes a top talent Hazard although hes been linked with so many clubs its unreal who knows where he will end up.Dont be surprised to see him go to Spain.I know he said he would move to England but he also didnt rule out a move to Spain either.

Hazard has denied hes close to moving to Spurs.It looks like hes keeping all his options open including a move to Spain although he did say that a move to Spurs would appeal to him so who knows.I cant see him coming here though.If he joined Spurs what a signing that would be for them.

We dont play a CAM spot so that doesnt work, Only other place Nani could move is the Rooney role, Now Rooney wont be benched and we wont move Rooney out of his role as then that would leave far too many strikers sat on the bench.

TBH the only way we could accommodate Hazard is if we sold 2 players (Either 2 wingers, 1 cm and 1 winger, 1 winger and 1 striker, 2 strikers)

Could play him on the right mate. Hazard Parker Modric Bale, on paper that's an amazing midfield, in reality Spurs would have to sell at least one of Modric/Bale if they want to sign Hazard.

I'd imagine they'd bank the CL cash on him. I honestly don't think theyd need to sell because Tottenham won't get quoted a Man Utd/Chelsea price when they show interest. They will probably land him for 25 plus add ons. They will sell Dos Santos and a few other fringe players and with the new revenue stream of CL they will be sitting pretty. Top 4 team for the long haul if they can get that CB you like from Ajax. I really do enjoy watching them play so I hope they are able to hold that team together after Harry bounces off.

They'd still have two more problems, even with the CL money: 1. They need money for a good center back to partner Caulker next season, they need to secure Adebayour and they might need another goalie if Friedel retires. How much money would they have left? 2. Players like Hazard demand wages way above Tottenham's structure, especially when they're about to hand Modric a double your money contract.

i cant see tottenham being able to cemente a regular champions league place to be honest which is a big attraction to join a team.

Spurs have a massive talented midfield and i cant see lennon or bale wanting to be a bench warmer.

Hazard will end up in spain, italy or arsenal.

IMHO i think we dont need any attacking players.. a good creative midfielder is what we need i.e Eriksen, Gotze or Lucas. Eriksen is my choice !

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Hazard will end up at Real this summer. It would be typical of Real to ship out someone like Di Maria to make room for a better talent like Hazard, even though they don't really need him. There is a higher chance of Barcelona getting relegated from La Liga than there is of Hazard going to Spurs (atleast while they still have Bale and Modric).

Partly agree with you except they do need a winger/cam as they don't have much cover and Lennon is injury prone. There is also tons of talk that Lennon is a Liverpool target but even if he is not hazard would come in and compete for the RW spot or push VDV onto the bench in the CF/CAM position he plays in. Agree they need a top CB which I think they will get and probably on the cheap for 10-12 million from Germany/France and then they will look to tie up Adebayor for 15 million. The salaries will be the stumbling blocks in all of this but the excitement of the Tottenham project (new stadium, training facility ad CL) may be enough to entice players to take an old school mentality and think of their footballing aspirations and not their pockets...

Agreed and with ffp coming in soon it makes buying a player like Hazard for it to be a stepping stone just pointless... Before you could sell on for huge profit, but with ffp the transfer fees will be kept down as teams wont be able to fork out over the odds.
