how do i start? Nani, ok he has all the stats to back him up. Sure he was very useful during the 19th title season. But i just wish to ask, WAHT ABOUT HIS INCONSISTENCY? WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE IS UNABLE TO DO THE VERY BAISC THINGS CORRECTLY (like trapping a ball, putting up a normal weighed pass, reading a game for a change)? Honestly, is it just me or doesn't everyone get frustrated by the way he completely ruins the attack, gives away the possession? Please don't tell me no one has seen a certain Rooney growling at him for his erratic displays? countless times he has spoiled the attacks, countless times he is unable to make an attack or simply pass the ball. Countless times we have wished it was Valencia on the wing to just whip in the cross and Rooney scores bam! I mean how many times, just how many times does a 38 year old Giggs needs to show him how it is suppose to be done. get the ball find the space and whip in a bloody cross. Atleast try to get a level of consistency in getting those balls into the box. Todays game, its sad that two of the oldest players had to show how it is suppose to be done. The number of times Nani lost the ball , it was as if he was playing a sunday league. I am actually surprised as to why the commentators haven't yet wound him up for his complete erratic displays. How is fergie, a man of perfection letting him get away. Its so sad so sad that players like valencia and young who when given a good run of games will actually be much more consistent than nani ever has been, but even they are not able to perform. It is getting quite frustrating to see the team struggle and whatever attacks we are trying to make are WASTED by him time and again. I am a United supporter and i respect the amount of opportunities fergie gives his players. But maybe js maybe he needs to get to his old self and just rip apart that stupid moron (sorry but i am really fed up with that lad). I aint saying nani is ***,bad,pathetic or a disgrace. He could be a million times better if he can start doing the simplest of things right. Thats it...watch and learn for the oldies. Maybe its a case of like berbatov, a player with immense quality but sadly not suited to our style of play. Sure nani is good as well but maybe he just doesn't fit in the way we play the game. rrunited - I reiterate my point about correct grammar and syntax in supporting your case. I understand your argument 'mate' but what I don't get is the vehemence with which you defend it. It must be nice to be so self-assured....especially given that my opinion has been echoed by numerous other posters. I have supported Man Utd since I was old enough to play football. I didn't miss a home game during the years 97-00 (I then left Lower Broughton for London due to a work opportunity) and also worked at Old Trafford for three years. Whilst this doesn't proof anything as such, I hope it does suggest that a) I am a supporter and b)I have witnessed enough classy United teams to perhaps warrant an opinion on present players/the team....I assume this is the kind of thing others base their remarks on. My final point is why so aggressive? 'Naive' 'Its clear, you dont have a deep understanding of football' 'you mad?' If we were discussing this face to face, I imagine you may be a little bit more polite....either that, or it wouldnt be a very long discussion.

You just come back from injury. How can you perform immediately at your best? Of course he won't be at his best immediately after injury. However, he looked sharper and better than the first leg. This shows that he is recovering. Besides, he didn't even get much supply, so how can he perform if he doesn't get the ball that much?

He has learnt from the best coaches, he has played in the best tournaments, he has won said tournaments, he has trained with some of the best footballers in the world (and even the best footballer in Ronaldo imo) and he is STILL operating at his inconsistent level. I agree with you Skill Man. This is a big problem with fans. Its very difficulty to satisfy fans. Remember players are just human beings. At some points having bad games in a season is normal. Even big players like Messi and Ronaldo have had bad games. The problem of our last game was not in Nani, but midfield as usual. Things were bad until Scholes came in. Nani has just got back from injury. He will be fine. Why when he performs nobody complaining that his performance is too high ?

that is a bit harsh, sure he played awful in both legs in the europa league, but without him we would have lost several games. he is great for giving assists and got the most in the premier league last season. so, yes, he can sometimes give horrible performances, but on his day (which is 90% of games) he is give defenders a real hard game.

I am thinking and thinking and i cannot really think of any wingers who could be classed as miles better then Nani (Appart from the obvious Ronaldo but thats already been covered).
