he' a young RB with loads of potential available on free, be great signing, probably need to loan him out to get prem experience if we did though
I agree. He would add more cover and class to our defence. But again it all depends where we use Jones.I would like to see him here though.

I agree its what we do with Jones.Hes been brilliant at right back.Hes a CB thats where he prefers and i do think he will play there eventually later on in his career but right now him at RB looks good hes great going forward a real top player with great energy but Jones can play in loads of positions and do a great job abit like O'Shea maybe.Clyne would be a good signing though.

    MancunianRobA:
A 20 year old right back from Cystal Palace, has about 100 games under his belt. Quick, good ball control, better positioning than Rafael and Fabio and less likely to ge injured/a yellow card for a silly foul. Whether we should get him or not depends on what we're planning to do with Jonesy.

Agreed, and just to add to the guys questions, his contract runs out at end of the year and we'd have to pay compensation of about £2 million! he would get limited game-time but if we loan our fryers or loan him back out, I don't think his game-time would be that limited,

but again it's what we do with Jones, right now RB and CM, but in future perhaps CB, but it is rather difficult fergie will know if he can play CB in future but for me hes similar to Luiz (don't slate until you read the rest) that hes always eager to get the ball and is often out of position because of that which to me says he is a CM, like Parker, they said about Luiz he might be useful in DM because of this reason, but he does have a very great cross on him and a lot of energy so RB is also a useful position for him too!

Good player but don't think we need him, I feel that Jones will become a RB and we have Raf and Fab who can also play there.

    Re: Who is Clyne?

In the long run we need more than one natural RB. Clyne has potential but unless we buy him and loan him back to Crystal Palace his game time will dramatically decrease. The upside would be he is playing and training with a much high quality of player.

Not better than Rafael and Fabio, we don't need him.

    Re: Who is Clyne?

I hope we sign him.He can battle with Rafael at right back which would then allow Smalling and Jones to play at CB more.I know both Smalling and Jones have done well at right back but signing Clyne would be good.Hes out of contract in the summer so we could get him for a small fee hes still very young is English is good going forward and defending he could be a great assist for us.For a young lad hes been very consistent for Palace and hardly misses a game either.

    Cool [H] Who is Clyne?

I keep seeing posts and comments on about him, is he good?, how old is he?, is he exspensive? All i know at this moment is that he is a RB, a position that i feel we a lacking strength. Phil jones has played in RB so has Smalling, but i dont think Rafael is good enough, and i really want to see jones-smailling centre back combination a little bit more!
