jasper99:dont like welbeck on the left myself, albeit great finish,,a la,andy cole v newcastle at OT few years back,,96 i think....
Yeah but he doesn't drift around as much as young which helps the team keep it's shape better.
You're kidding right? I saw Welbeck out by the left touchline maybe...ohhh....twice during the Wolves match. Now that could be an exaggeration for the sake of exaggerating....but in truth he basically played a roaming role throughout the match, so not sure how you came to your conclusion.
he did not,,he was left of a three pronged attack, and yes,he did do his bit, stretched them when he could, but will always be drawn inside because of his natural instinct....
Yeah, I know what his position was when you put it up to show the crowd the line-ups. I'm talking about what he actually did in the game and, in the game, he was rarely out on the left side. If you want a quick and concrete fact to support what I'm saying, think of his positioning for his goal and for Chicharito's second goal.
.yes thats true,he was very narrow, but feel with his instinct to come inside it leaves us with a bottleneck effect, played well tho, worked real hard today...
No doubt. Played well. And I could pine for days about that cheeky pass to Valencia (who in turned played that nice far post cross to Chicha for the volley). My only point is that he drifted around quite a bit, much more than I would expect to find Young doing if he was tasked with playing on the left side of midfield or a front three, but I feel that was all part of the plan.
oh most definately,,think SAF knew we were much too strong for them very early on,,there really wasnt any need to strech them wide as we had more than their measure through the middle too,,the sending off sealed their fate,,we then played with 10 strikers as they all fancied their chances of a goal...
