and "glory hunters". i've only been a serious United fan for maybe the past 5 years and maybe that allows me to see more clearly... but holy hell, the majority of the fans on this board are insane with expectations! i've been reading this board every day for the past year, never posting, but i had to vent about this.
sure, we got knocked out of CL and FA and Europa... but we are in 1st freaking place in the PL and people here are jumping off cliffs and taking SAF's head off with them. yes, it would be fantastic to win every championship and gather lots of silverware. but, it's NOT realistic! not this day and age in professional sports. parity. it's been happening for years now here in the states in professional sports and it's happening in world football now too. (obviously Barca is an exception still at this point, but even they don't win EVERY single game)
this is nothing new i'm sure, i've read it before... but i just had to state it again. it's really sad to come on to a board of a team that is SO rich in tradition and prestige and to see the majority of the fans act like 6 year olds playing FIFA. how about instead, you take a minute to understand the circumstances around this particular season: all the adversity with injuries, losses, and so forth. we have battled and have take the top of the PL table.
take a deep breath... have faith in your team... and enjoy these next handful of games down the stretch as we close out our 20th championship. believe.
