Re: How did you feel when Murphy fell?

Thought it was a stonewaller from fthe first time i saw it tbh. I actually thought Carrick had pushed him over rather than tripped him but either way, penalty all day long.

I couldnt believe it when he dropped but while watching it i thought it was a fairly good challenge, it was only until you slowed it down that you could see how wrong i was. Was very hard to call though and im just glad we got that bit of luck you need to win sometimes.

    Ojiaku Chuby:
Actually I watched the match at home with my 5 year old son and when Danny Murphy fell on the 18 yard box, I felt like a grenade was just dropped in my stomach!!! My eyes and ears where fixed on the players to see the reaction. To my greatest joy it wasnt given, Johnny boy cleared the ball!! Because of that i bought my son his first game console today!!!!
I was thinking first of all that's no pen, and second, DON'T BOTTLE IT REF!

I was actually listening on 5 Live. Well, I felt sick. I bet everyone inside Old Trafford felt sick, especially Michael Carrick! Just thank God it wasn't given.

Like vomiting. Knew it was coming and fully expected the penalty to be awarded. I don't blame Carrick though if he hadn't tried Murphy would've walked right through to goal. Scholes sat and watched the pass that freed him up. We couldn't maintain possession for large portions of the match and we made too many sloppy and careless passess. Carrick I thought overall played well barring that one mistake. I was furious with Giggs who looked far too careless in the center yesterday and was lucky to not be sent off himself. Evra...well I can't even put into words my disgust with him as a player and what makes it even worse is he is our captain.

Re: How did you feel when Murphy fell?

I was watching it on tv so I didn't see any replay to know it was a bad tackle, I just brought my hands to my face in disbelief but then I didn't see the penalty awarded to Fulham, so I could not believe our luck.

Re: How did you feel when Murphy fell?

I was actually thinking good tackle to be honest.

I know that was obviously wrong after seeking it again but I sit at that end, probably had a better view than Oliver and i thought Carrick had toed the ball, didn't give it a second thought after that 'tilthey were all going mental on the radio on the way home.

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Re: How did you feel when Murphy fell?

Evans clearing the ball was vital. If the United players froze with guilt then the ref would have had no choice. Murphy was just chancing his arm as always. He's like Gerrard, comes alive once a year to face United. Why doesn't he do It every week like a proper player?
