Re: Time to give Young the boot?

and when Ronaldo did it he was a legend and doing it for the team. Strong logic there.
What is the point in life if you don't at least try to do something remarkable?

2-0,exactly my point-we can win the games without diving and 'present' penalties.

Re: Time to give Young the boot?

Total disgrace: if this was a player from any other side, we'd all be lining up here to call him a cheat (and worse), and deservedly so. As a lifelong supporter and long-time reader of this board (though as you'll see, I've only just joined up to comment) - I have to say, this kind of behaviour isn't what United is about. Win at any cost? No, we win with class and decency. Ronaldo took a dive occasionally, for sure. So do many players from most clubs. But Young's antics, today and at QPR, are putting him in a different class: that of a relatively mediocre player who's becoming well-known to fans of all clubs nationwide, for one thing, and one thing only. We all want to win games, and we all know you get good calls and bad calls over the course of a season, as Sir Alex has said. But I can't honestly watch what I've just seen, say it makes me proud, and then go out and celebrate a win achieved through such means (cheating - let's call it what it is) with my head held high.

No/. Young is World Class in my opinion, and hasn't yet hit his peak. Plus, it's him or Giggs/Nani. Nani can be just as good, if not better, but his inconstancy annoys me, and he seems a little too arrogant.

    Mikael Larsson:
After an outrageous penalty and sending off against QPR where Ashley Young was diving like a swan he did an ever worse dive today against his former team Aston Villa.

Is that the type of player we want? Is such cheating accepted as a part of the United way?

I for one take proud in that we are a bit better than most teams, we have a moral and a way to play that doesn't include winning at every cost. I'm not sure about that anymore...
Are you serious? The man may have just won us two games late in the season. They weren't dives. Forwards play for contact in the box all the time. Fair play to him, two goals for us and hopefully another three points towards our 20th title.

He was clipped, but whether he went down intentionally or not, i'm not sure. Of course i don't really like players who dive *drogba ahem ahem* but if we won the game today due to the penalty, i wouldn't really mind it. I feel that 3 points is much more important for us now. Ronaldo dived, we all loved him still.

I am repeating my comments from QPR game-we don’t need it -‘ridiculously !‘given penalties! Man Utd can win enough games and City is going to lose enough games for this season title. Buy the way Young is a shame with his diving!

I also found it very hard to swallow mate but what is even more worrying is that we seem to be struggling at breaking down defence, no clear cut chance as yet even though Villa's CBs look really poor so far
When I have to make tough decisions in my life I listen to the little boy inside me That little boy was screaming Manchester United

It's *** when it happens to us, but as long as our Red Devils score, I can careless. The ref was right in front of Young when it happened. I'll take our Reds winning over 'moral'
