    Re: Starting 11 against City?

    moscow 08:
it doesnt matter who starts or plays against city for that matter because no matter who we play the man city team that plays will be (man for man) far better and more talented than the talentless average *** that we are subjected to watching each week. We will be beaten comprehensively next monday and anyone who thinks otherwise is either naive or ignorant. It has been a miracle that we have got to a position where we were 8 points ahead with such an embarrassingly average and sub standard team, but for this teribble team the title will be a bridge too far. When wayne rooney claimed this team wasnt good enough last year he hit the nail on the head. Yes we won the league but there were no real challengers as chelsea's faded towards the end, and our path to the champions league final was an easy one compared to barca's. the champions league final was a lesson in football and showed our disimprovement from the final two years before, this current team is a disgrace to the history of the club and to the standards required at this club, if Fergie doesnt see the need for change this summer well then we can expect to have barron spells for many years, this years title is gone theres no question about that
Your not forced to watch us each week, so if you dont like it *** off.

    Re: Starting 11 against City?

    Just two points:

    1. Starting with a two man midfield (especially if Scholes is one of the two) would be one of the dumbest things he could do, even with Rooney dropping deep to help out in midfield.

    2. Either Park or Young has to start on the left, because Evra seriously needs help defensively, and right now I wouldn't trust Nani to track back and help out.

I would so for a 4-5-1 formation 4-4-3 when we have the ball, we need to crowd the midfield. my team is: (GK) De Gea --- (RB) Smalling ---- (CB) Rio ---- (CB) Evans ---- (LB) Evra -------- (RM) Valencia ---- (CM) Carrick ---- (CM) Jones ---- (CM) Scholes ---- (LM) Nani -------- (ST) Rooney
yeah i totally agree with this. if you where to make a sub later on it'd be scholes maybe for welbeck bring rooney deep and welbeck up alone but thats when we lead or want to contain that is late game.

    Re: Starting 11 against City?

Evans form has dipped, and smalling always plays well vs CIty, Rafael good going forward but not that good at defending especially vs strong men, like balotelli or dzeko so I decided to use jones. Evras been off form but vs the big teams he seems to do very well so i kept him. In midfield I went with 3 so we can try and dominate it, Giggs and Scholes are cool heads and thats what we need and carrick has been solid this year so cant drop him, I went with Nani and Welbeck on the wings because they seem to always score vs city lately. Rooney upfront he will drop deep to help midfield as always but welbeck will be there he can cut in and giggs can go to win if that happens.

I would play a 4-4-2 with (GK) De Gea --- (RB) Valencia ---- (CB) Rio ---- (CB) Evans ---- (LB) Evra -------- (RM) Nani ---- (CM) Carrick ---- (CM) Scholes ---- (LM) Young-------- (FW) Rooney and Welbeck. I think having Valencia and Nani attacking the right side will be too much for city to handle. Quote

    Re: Starting 11 against City?

The biggest problems on the 30th will be the full-backs. That being said, City don't dish the ball out wide to their wingers because quite frankly they don't really have any.

That doesn't however mean that Rafael and Evra will not get slaughtered, because they probably will.

Either a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1, can't for the life of me see why Fergie would go 4-4-2

    -------------------------De Gea-------------------------

    Rafael----------Rio---------------Evans----------Evra

    Valencia-------Scholes----------Carrick---------Nani

    -------------------------Cleverley------------------------

    -------------------------Rooney--------------------------

Da Silva had a poor game but has been a rock in many a game this year and I feel will be more able to limit Citys pacey wingers than Smalling. Valencia and Nani to me track back more than Young hence his ommision. Scholes and Carrick our undoubted best centre two. Tom jsut behind Wayne for his quick passes and creativity. Remember Waynes best season was with him as an out and out forward with crosses being fed in. This allowes a deep midfield with even Tom able to drop in with Scholes and Carrick but also plenty of attacking options. Danny and Berba on the bench with Giggs Smalling then the rest whoever fancies it haha. I say Berba just because Javier is too lightweight for Citys big defenders

    Re: Starting 11 against City?

I dont know what fergie will do but I pray we win or get a draw. I think definetely have berbatov on the bench as we all know the magic he can bring. Think about it, we need an anchor man to stop yaya toures runs. We need to stop silva and nasri dictating their play. So Id would go 4-2-3-1 De Gea Smalling Rio Evans Evra Scholes Carrick Valencia Giggs Young ROONEY Sorry welbeck / chico We need to match them in midfield if we do then we will win. Valencia and Young Down the wings will frustrate city and they couldnt cope. You could even slot nani into giggs role to start off and bring on giggs later on
