Haha!! Spot on. It's the same statistic over and over again. I would have said however, defense was leaky, but of course Dimitar would get the blame.

Its almost lazy at this point, the bashing. The same thing goes for the Midfield bashing.

I get that people don't like the player and he has not always crowned himself in glory but blaming him only for the 8points missed is pathetic really.

Do you know what is even more funny? We lost 14 points in games he didn't start... Really, you have the right to like or dislike Berbatov, but this type of statement is ridiculous. No player is the only reason for the several unsuccessful games we have had during the season Do we need Berbatov in the last 3 games of the season? I know a man who knows the correct answer. His name is Alex Ferguson. We just need to wait and see..

That would have worked brilliant for you if he started a lot of games, shame that it only happened 5 times. With Berba we got 8 out of possibile 15 points, without him we got 76 out of possibile 90 points. And his name is Sir Alex Ferguson.

I'm perhaps one of the biggest fans of Berba and have always stood up for him. However, unfortunately when he has had his chances this season he has messed them up (except for the Carling Cup which him and Owen were great in). But one of the things that cheer me up (at the prospect of him leaving) is the rise of a certain Danny Welbeck this year. This lad is so underrated its unbelievable. In my opinion, he has everything, literally. Even more than Ronaldo. However, everything he has need improvement. He is a great team player, perhaps the hardest worker in our team (I absolutely love the way he closes down defenders and sometimes even the goalkeeper), he can pass, link up, hold up the ball with his strength, head, dribble and finish (when he wants to). And on top of that he is a RED from Manchester!!

What a moot point. Berba is gone. Welbeck is 21 and he is gaining experience and confidence very quickly. SAF is thinking 5 to 7 years down the line and for that time Welbeck and Rooney, playing for Man Utd and England together, should prove very productive. Berba, as he does not rely on pace, will play at a high level for another 4-6 years in my view but it is obvious that he does not fit here for number of reasons which were discussed at great length in this forum.

Agreed. Rooney, Welbeck and Chicha (maybe Keane if he doesn't go out on loan) are our strike force for the future. Rooney and Welbeck have a really good partnership going this season and hopefully it'll continue to impress in the euros this summer.

I'd like to have seen Berba in the squad for games like Blackburn and Wigan as they were teams he has a good record against, however as he hasn't played since January it would be crazy to try and bring him back in to the squad now, especially against the likes of City. It's a shame that his final season here was such a poor one for him but sometimes that's just the way things go, still like most Utd supporters I wish him well for the remainder of his career.
