Its because Old Trafford full of tourists and a lot more families are going these days. If they really want to solve the problem then have 40-50k season ticket holders in the stadium.
Dying to go to OT its a dream of mine..and if i go it will be in the capacity of a tourist...BUT ill be the noisiest F.U.C.K.E.R or at least my goal wud be to turn heads and get peopl;e to think say even for a united fan that guy is crazy!!!......those tourist and families have no excuse...its UNITED...c'mon u away fans

Ive been shocked by it this season. Our team is pretty average yet we are topping the table over a Man City team that should have ran away with it this season! Yet the crowd still barely make a peep...

the noise has definiotly toned down a great degree... i think last year vs chelsea at OT the fans were amazing...i suppose the bright side here is that its city away..and the away fans seem to spur the team on more this season

Are they still playing with the idea of moving the singing fans to a different part of the stadium to maximize noise?

Pretty sure it's guaranteed to happen considering the noise difference of the Villa game and the Everton game, I was in the singing section at the Villa game and it was rocking for a majority of the game compared to what the normal East Stand is like! The Everton game I think got dampened when they went 1-0 up, I was chatting to a few people during the game and when we went 4-2 up we all said, we need another or it's going to hurt us and it did, think it was a case of nervousness this game that halted people chanting!

I think that would be a great idea OT needs to be revived into how it was a few years ago still not the best atmosphere but alot better than it is right now.lets b honest this aint the greatest united squad but we as supporters need to make tht difference ITS TIME TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!

Agree, how can 78,000 odd be so silent!!! Everton fans made more noise at OT on Sunday. Need to pick it up.

Old Trafford has lost its passion

went to the everton game yesterday and besides the result which was very disapointing the atomsphere in the stadium was the worst iv evr seen or heard it. uietconsidering we are coming to the last few games of the season it was like the fans were complasent and that eventually had an effect on the players. The stretford end was tryin to get stadium going but for me it was the worst iv seen old trafford by a long way. there are too mnay fans waiting for players to do something instead of gettin behind them i remember a time when the fans used to drive the team foward nowadays its like yeh wev scored im gona cheer while they celabrate and then sit down and be q. for me there are to many tourists who come just to experince a game but if they wana do that please come at the start of the season when we play easier teams.I think as of next season i will only attend away games with the true united fans who actually support the team instead of turning up and watching the game i dont see the point in going to watch the game live if u are just going to sit there quietly and look at other fans who a tryin to get behind the team like oh im tryin to watch this game could u please be quiet i find that absoulty rediculous.
