The three that come to my mind are Fellaini, Strootman and Martinez. All are mainly defensive players, but can all string a few passes together and break up the play. Also they are all in the ages of 22-24 so all can slot straight in to the first team and have enough experiance.

Marchisio and Vidal for Juventus are great all round midfielders, Marchisio especially so as he is in the mold of Gerrard. However Vidal has just moved and Marchisio loves Juve

De Rossi, Gerrard, Sweinstager and Kroos are all rounders but none are going to leave their clubs

Despite being played as a cam Kevin Prince Boateng can do a bit of everything in the middle of the park, I can't see him moving though

Sahin can do a bit of everything but he has just moved too

Modric actually does contribute to the defense, just not as much as Parker or Sandro (as someone has said, typical CM partnership), he would cost too much though.

Fellani is a good shout, he isn't very creative though

Radja Nainggolan is probably the most realistic option, he had a pretty good half a season with Caligari and can do a bit of everything

Fellaini wouldn't a bad shout. He's one of those rare midfielders (like Yaya Toure) who can play as a defensive midfielder, a box to box midfielder and behind the striker. It'd be like buying 3 players in one. His aerial power would go nicely with the our wingers.

Martinez, Sahin and Cabaye...either and id be very happy

im not sure modric can defend, though, i know many spurs fans who would argue with you on that front, also look at scholes one of the worse tacklers of all time, genrally in a 442 you have an attack minded CM and a defense minded center mid

examples: carrick and scholes, cabaye and tiote, parker and mordic..........
