Re: Another competition De Gea has cost us

donald p to sign for united:

As you can see, his path was blocked off by Tevez. Hardly his fault.

After this he actually retreated back to his line and was unfortunate not to get a hand on the ball. Expecting him to save that header is ridiculous, he's not The Flash.

how the hell can you blame De Gea when the whole team was outplayed by city??? 1st his path was blocked! 2nd Smalling did not do proper marking! but the main problem was that the whole team was unable to cope with man city! we need to learn how to hold the ball and pass better

Gary Neville smmed it up pretty well after the game, smalling lost his man simple as that other than that he had a good game, de gea had no chance but did make a good save later, so cannot understand the post. Football is a game where a mistake normally cost a goal unfortunately on the night City didnt make any fair play to them credit where credit is due, Its not over yet so lets get of players backs and manager and stop looking for scapegoats. All for one and one for all.

I think De Gea cannot be blamed for the goal conceded yesterday! It was the marking of Vincent Kompany by our defenders that went wrong!!!

The thing is that city players stand close to De Gea. They don't give him space . Goal trainers should be able to have a solution for this . (if they have)

If people actually believe that the keeper should have come out for a corner that fast then they have no clue about football.
And what book have you got that from Mr Know-it-all?

You're an idiot. Smalling lost his mark you complete cretin. De Gea had a flawless game.
Why is it that when someone makes a remark that doesn't agree, some chavs have to resort to personal insults? De Gea was partly to blame. Yes, Smalling made a massive error, but De Gea remained rooted to his line when the ball was no more than three yards from him. Goalkeepers are allowed to move!

Rafael Da Silva to be blamed.

3 yrs back, we lost to Bayren M because of his immaturity and against Everton he did the same.

can't believe I read this!? Rafael did not deserve to be sent off in that match! Bayern forced the ref into the decision!

de gea was marked for the corner and tevez was backing into him, its happened all this season a player has backed into de gea for corners, players used this against united because they know de geas a new keeper in the PL

Is everybody stupid around here? Nobody is talking about De Gea saving Kompany's shot. He should've claimed the ball before Kompany.. he had time and it was pretty close. Nobody is talking about how he should've saved Kompany's shot.

CL- his error leads to Basle scoring in a game where we needed to win F.A Cup- not man enough to handle a corner League- just needed a draw and he is not man enough to collect a ball Why buy a keeper who cannot handle set pieces and has cost us 3 competitions this season. Overall a awful performance by the team, but in the past if th team did not play well Van Der Sar did and that lifted the team. Buying a prospect for 18m and he has cost us millions of prize money.
What a completed idiot this guy is. A good goal is a good goal. Do you Van Der Sar would have been able to stop Kompanys header? The answer to that would be NO.

Roy Keane said it best yes Smalling has made a mistake but at that level you expect some one to come to the rescue of the young Centre Backs.....DeGea that is where the likes of Schmeichel and VDS won us titles not in parrying away shots or blocking shots with his Legs the titles are won when you have that keeper who is decisive has David De Gea been decisive in any of the two last games we played i think not how many Keepers have let in so many goals at Old Trafford and gone on to have long succesful careers at the very top. Everytime I look at De Gea I see Victor Valdes great shot stopper but not ur game championship winning goalie. All those defending DDG are just in limbo the truth will dawn on them next season when we keep conceding goals at old trafford they must have been the same ones defending Barthez calling him world class nobody even remembers he was a Manchester United player but DDG seems to be cut from the same cloth spectacular camera saves but he cant master the every ready corner saving routine i am those Blasting Legend Cantona are the same people who always defended Evra I don't see anyone calling him world class these days a good player is always able to meet a challenge Rio for all his mental weakness can give a good account when need be. I can't see DDG being that player he lacks something that arrogance of the very best players is certainly missing in him.
