I remember chelsea after they won the league had gone out and bought sheva and ballack who were huge stars at that point but what happened then????????????? Are people forgetting the fair play rule? they need meet the regulations of that so they will have to get rid first they are way off, and no one is willing meet the wages that city pay there players so it wont be that easy why do you think January was so quiet it was all over the papers city wanted more players but they were concerned about the fair play rule. that line up you shown us lacks defensive quality's so i doubt it would be as great as you make out.

At least we can go into next season has the...erh... underdog. The smallest advantages helps lol.

Agreed, bilbao especially gave us a footballing lesson, arsenal at ot was a one off because that was easily the worst arsenal side ever to come to ot, chelsea at ot could have gone either way so i dont know how people can say we dominated that because i'm pretty sure they even had more shots on goal and on target then us so i cant remember the last time we played a quality side and beat them convincingly other then spurs at ot at the start of the season.

I know where ur coming from mate...but every big game weve been dominated in? we dominted chelsea and arsenal twice this season...we dominated spurs at ot....we dominated chelsea in all competitions last season as well as every one we faced on the way to the CL final...we dominated milan two years in a row...last night we was nto dominated we lost my a smallest of margins and that margin was vidic.

while i disagree that we've been dominated in every big game from the last 3 years. we were dominated yesterday. i don't even want to go into it because there has been a lot of moaning already. if it was swapped around and we had cities chances and cities possession we would be saying we dominated the game.

Depends how attacking we went. Again you have to attack somehow

The tactics, formation and lineup was wrong... hence we lost. By the time we made the changes it was too little too late. We have beaten City 2 times this season... Once at the Etihad and once at Wembley. Thery are not unbeatable.

United in a sense didnt even get into second gear.. We came into the game playing for a draw and knowing a draw would suffice... Bad bad move.

They had nothing to defend against because we didnt attack. City showed us once again why 4-5-1 doesnt work, why Rooney as a lone striker doesnt work, why leaving your best players on the bench doesnt work, why playing Park and Giggs in the same lineup doesnt work.

Regardless of the result, the game was cack, it reminded me of the dire 0-0 in Oct 2010.

had we come out all guns blazing from the off, we could have won it... City arent unbeatable. We have beaten them twice and we could have done it again had we used the right tactics... Our tactics is the reason the game was over as soon as they scored, by the time we changed our style in the 65th odd minute, it was too late and key players were already too knackered to make the difference.

The formation wasn't the problem, the only change I would make is Valencia instead of Giggs. We don't have the players in the squad to play a successful 451, or any formation that isn't similar to 442 for that matter, had we played 442 it could have easily resulted in a 3/4-0 defeat especially with Carrick and Scholes in the middle.. At the end of the day we were beaten by the better team, and I'm willing to admit that, just disappointed we didn't put up more of a fight

The problem is, we missed a lot of chances to buy good players, David Silva is costly, but he's worth it. Sneijder is costly, but he's worth it. Even Van Der Vaart with his 16m price tag would be great addition to our squad at this time. Just imagine if we god David Silva ( i believed if we can pay his price tag, he will come to us instead of City ) or Sneijder, 1 good defensive midfield, then City can buy Messi and we won't have to care.

We have to face the truth, we can not keep / or replace our players ( Ronaldo, Tevez ), we can not afford new/talented players ( Silva, Nasri, Sneijder ), then that's our fault. If any of you work on management you will know that, if for any reason you can not keep or replace your talented employee, it's your fault and no one want to hear your excuse. And talented people come with big price tag, there are hardly any loyalty in football nowaday, i would die to play for Man UTD, sign me up please ?

Their players ALL wanted the glory for themselves and were far to selfish, there seemed to be no team spirit to get a team goal, it was always a solo effort or someone wanting the limelight.. Buying more players with that attitude will increase the likelyhood of that being their downfall...
