The one striker I would quite like is Hulk. Very powerfull and rather skillfull. Would surely improve the team. Having said that, I wouldn't say that position is really a huge priority atm. Really feel for Berbatov btw. Excellent player that never gets a game. Hope he goes to a team where his talents will be appreciated.
imagine playing 110m for hulk? LOL
Yeah, Porto have put an insane price on his head. If we were to get him for £20-£25 million, I would be a happy chappy as that would represent his true value. Can't see that being the case though.

I completely disagree. A pure striker is exactly what we need. Rooney and Welbeck aint that kind of striker.

I think if we wuda had a big game striker in our ranks we cudda gone wiv him n rooney up front wiv rooney dropping deep. Ideally fergie wuda wanted 2 rooneys, one to drop n one to stay up top n harry defenders. He just didn't trust welbeck to do that job as well as Wayne. If we had a tevez or aguero in our squad then I'm sure he wud av played 2 up front and let rooney make up the numbers in midfield when needed.
I think it's more not trusting our midfield than not trusting Welbeck.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death I assure you it's much more serious than that

Nooooooooo we don't need a striker, we proved it yesterday, and throught the season. Whoever create this thread does he identify what happens if Rooney get injured, can Wellbeck and hernandez can cope , don't think so,they r great but we need 4 quality strikers, we have three need to get another like Higuain.

As you know that Berba and Owen will defo leave this summer, meaning we got three strikers: Chicha, Wazza and welbz so most of you may think that we need a new striker?

    but do we?

simply use Ashley Young as a back up striker, he has played in this position in many times for villa and is finishing is class. This can also save some money for midfielder or a defender. But saying this doesnt mean he still cant play winger when he is not needed for the striker position. Really simple

Ashley Young is an average player, whatever position you play him! good for squad rotation and to chip in with a few nice goals from out wide but if were gonna continue resorting to playing a lone striker in games where we feel the need to panic instead of playing our usual system, we need to sign someone, someone with physical presence, whose great in the air and can win the ball when we resort to hoofing it up the pitch to ease the pressure, and can hold up the ball so the wide guys can push forward, all of these qualities are aspects of a thoroughbred Striker our three remaining guys don't have in their locker.
