I agree Evans in the mid of the pitch I see him as a good holding midfielder as Gustavo of Bayen who canclled Ronaldo in both legs at the middle of the pitch. Also Evans in the holding role will bring the flovour and flayer of our old utility man Ronnie Jonsonne but will Fergie accept it when he feels Scholes does the job.

I thought Smalling was good against city other than the obvious mistake. In terms of giving a full season, its not Evans fault that Smalling got injured and up poped Evans in excellent form.

I wouldn't say ones better than the other and am looking forward to see them play together more. They played well against Arsenal when paired together.

im personally hoping to see the Vidic Rio partnership take off next year and show the form they did at the end of last season. Even at his age Rio is competing with the best in the world still and it must be also said that hes help Evans come on to the defender we hope he would be...

The league is so competitive now that there is very little room for experimentation.

He may be decent there, but what's the point? Let him stay in his natural position we've got Carrick to do that.

Hes good on ball...good in the tackle...hes got good technique...his got good stamina and hes been known to go on a maruading run...

What do u think of in pre season trying him out as a holding midfielder...the only weakness i see in him really is that some times he is a bit weak in the air.. maybe a michael carrick type role would suit him what do u think?

Oshea and jones have played there why not give evans a go?
