    Re: Who Needs To GO?

I am not Korean i just appreciate tactically disciplined players they are the ones who win you championships when it comes to technical ability i agree Park is way below most players at United but the man has heart, is very intelligent and disciplined, that is why the boss has time for Ji Sung Park. No matter the position he is asked to play he will do it and give it his best. If we had one or two more players with that kind of discipline we would have won the league easily. Look at Smalling, Phil Jones, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs all very gifted players pick absolutely nobody as we defended that City Corner that ultimately won them the Championship. So you just cant ignore what Park brings to the table and look at the qualities of other players as the bench mark of making the team. Why have a team full of flair and no discipline look at the Los Galacticos of a few years ago after they lost their so called water carrier Claude Makelele, even Fc Barcelona have Busquets, Puyol, & Pique to bring some balance to the teams attacking ethos. That is what Park can give this team especially in years ahead, i can see him being asked to play a deeper lying role much like Giggs does today and be very effective the problem is that with Scholes, Carrick also being part of that trio in midfield then we are out of luck becoz them two(Carrick and Scholes) dont run at all and with Park also losing a yard of pace then we have 3 "walkers" in the middle but if for example we get someone who can carry the ball ala Toure an able athletic midfielder Park and Carrick or Park and Scholes or even the three can sit back and do the mopping up building up play slowing down the game something that will allow Evra or Rafael to overlap as much as they want becoz Park can cover for them but to have him covering Evra or Giggs covering Evra and Park be the carrier of the balls from deep as we did against City with Scholes and Carrick on the pitch too then the team has no legs. I acknowledge his form has deserted him of late but even Giggs in 2003 ,2004 was struggling after the stamina and pace started to wear off but he still found his way around the problem by dropping back the same could be said of Rio over the last 2 calendae years but he has found his way again this year. Ji Sung Park is an asset we just cant throw away his experience will serve us well sooner than most of you think. He has been slaughtered and to some extent rightly so for what looked abject on the attacking front against City but defensively he was very useful albeit quietly one just has to look at Yaya Toure he was ineffective thro' the middle for the entire 55 minutes Ji Sung Park was on the Pitch City who had been Killing us thro' the flanks started going right thro' the centre with no fuss once Park was subbed, this rendered SAF two strikers Rooney and Welbeck part of the spectator crowd at the Etihad. We went with a 4-5-1 and the most important player in this formation was Rooney yet he had terrible day he took no pressure of his team mates if anything he made things worse by going deep for the ball allowing Kompany and Lescott to hold a high line compare his performance to that of Drogba against Barcelona. Manchester United would have been better served on the day playing 4-4-2 and making it a shout out than playing 4-5-1 with Rooney leading the line we all know he cant play that position effectively coz he is not disciplined enough to stay up and choose his moments he just goes where the ball is Capello tried with England but to no avail yet i dont hear anybody calling for Rooney to leave Old Trafford because he has no tactical discipline. You all forget Park had a wonderful game in the FA Cup 4th round playing thro' the middle against Liverpool to me that was United's best performance of the season Gerrard couldnt get anything going we only lost after such a commanding performance that day becoz of poor marking in a set piece ala City at the Etihad and Evra same as Everton @ Old Trafford.

berbatov, owen, park, scholes, giggs, anderson, hernandez scholes is 37 we cantrely on him we have to replace him! giggs has been excellent but now being put in the middle makes us weak and goes to show we need a new centre mids anderson is 24 now and atthat age should be showing signs of being a world class plaayer but frankly isnt fair enough he was a cam at porto and now fergie has tried to make him into a box to box mid but he is too hit and miss andinjury prone hernandez contributes nothing to the team apart from getting onto theend of a cross, if the mid is struggling to provide enough he completely dissapears from a game

    Re: Who Needs To GO?

No one NEEDS to go really. If Anderson is fit he performs well but he has been a bit injury prone and should only be sold if a better replacement is brought in. Park is a very good squad player, he's played a lot of football in recent years and will be needed next season as he gets a rest during the summer while a lot of players don't. It's sad but Berbatov probably has to go due to the way the team is currently set up, Rooney, Chicharito and Welbeck and leading the line and Will Keane is slowly emerging as a talent so both Berbatov and Owen should probably move on, I do think that Owen will probably remain as a squad player though. Who NEEDS to go: Kuzchak - Pogba - Berbatov. Who WILL go: Kuzchak - De Laet - Pogba - Berbatov - Fabio (loan)

Hernandez , Nani , Rio , Giggs , Park even Rooney . We need fresh players.
Why would you want to get rid of Hernandez, Nani, Rio, Giggs, and Rooney? We do not need fresh players. I would get rid of Park, but Hernandez, Nani, Rio, Giggs, and Rooney, no way.
I would get rid of Ferdinand as he's well passed his best and is always injured. Vidic will not return as good as he was and he is also getting old, so he can go. Jones is NOT United standard and should be put in the reserves (we should have bought Samba instead). Fletcher was only ever mediocre and will not return from his injury, he's also getting on in age. Berbatov has been ignored by Ferguson, so he might as well go. Owen is only here for the money and is always injured, so he can go too. Park has never been any good, although he did sell shirts! Scholes and Giggs should be put out to grass. Young is only Aston Villa standard and Valencia is a one-dimensial, one-footed sprinter - they can both go. Nani seems to have lost his speed-attack and seems content to slow down things too much. And, wait for it... Rooney should be sold now whilst he's still worth some money - for he is a waste of space.
At the parade? I've been a true red, a real Man Utd supporter for over fifty-years. I'm as p***ed as anyone on this site that Citeh have won the title... but it was ours to give away.... and boy, did we give it away! the first person who must go is you as you clearly have no ??????? clue. How aint you at the parade anyway?

OK tony molloy, this is a little too extreme. You basically want to get rid of pretty much the whole first team, except for a few players.
Too extreme??? This is the way forward!
Getting rid of pretty much the whole first team, except for a few players is not the way forward.
I understand what you're saying, but I really believe that we need to have a wholesale change in personnel... and tactics! If we carry on in the way we are at present, then we will continue to see teams like Crystal Palace, Blackburn, Wigan and almost every nonentity from Europe giving us a good whipping!

Why would we get rid of Rooney i believe he scored 27 goals in the premiership this season and even when he is one bad form he still scores goals and some can say he is dragging our team i even remember when we lost in the second leg to athletico bilbao in the Europa League he was the only player to score and the best player on the pitch during that game. Lol i've never heard so much rubbish in my life as Rooney and Vidic our the only world class status players in our squad and maybe De Gea soon again. Rooney should be sold because he is not good enough. Yes, he scored about 27 EPL goal, but he missed another 50 sitters!!! He can't hold-up play, and his passing is abysmal. We should cash in whilst we can. Hernandez will be back next season and Ashley Young only had his first season at the club why spend all that money on him and sell him next season ok he has some moments of bad form but good form too. Nani is a one or two game player at the moment but i doubt SAF will sell him. Valencia was one of our best players this season so i don't know what crystal ball you're looking in. We can't rely on Giggs, Scholes and Rio all the time as i believe it is best for them to retire it will be pretty sad seeing the Welsh Wizard go though, but Rio might stay on for a few more seasons or who knows Tottenham might want to sign him from United. We need a Centre Back, reft or right Back, two centre midfielders and maybe a striker too if we don't buy any players i have a feeling Rooney will walk out on the club as he worked his socks off for us this season scoring 27 goals for us in the premier league this season he did.
