    eddie moroney:
For me the best striker utd ever had. Just always scored goals. Every season. If he didn't score in a game you would be worried. He also scored against *** teams and class teams. One of his goals i will remember is a pretty innocuous match in Europe against Bayarn. Utd were under the cosh for a good bit of the first half and out of nothing Van the Man scored a goal for Utd to get the lead. I was so taken a back. Usually Utd need to start dominating a match and having a couple of shots on goal before they do score. Utd were 2nd best but Van the man was so good at scoring he had no pressure in scoring against a superpower who were destroying us. he was that clinical. One half chance from an average set up and it was a goal. We should have never got rid of Van the Man and should have played in the F.A cup final in his last season.
I believe you are talking about the Carling Cup Final? Anyway I completely agree with you on this. Ruud van Nistelrooy scored goals and continued doing so even when we didnt have Becks. He could really do a Scholes,Giggs to be honest and i'd have a 35 year old Ruud than the Michael Owen that we have. World Class striker, a real shame he left us.

Would have loved to have him in our team now but him at his prime. He was a perfect finisher and was always one of my favourite players while he was here. Never forget the goals he scored or the moments of magic that he produced. When the ball came to his feet you knew something spectacular was going to happen, thank you ruud for all the goals and memories. Top player.

Well said. We could have done with someone like him this season to score more goals

Top finisher, one of the best of all time at it. Will also remember him for his goals that helped us come from behind at villa park in the fa cup.
He also used to shine in the Champions league for us, just a shame he wasn't in any of the teams that won it for us. #RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD

    Ruud appreciation thread...

gutted after yesterday and will be for a long time but one of our all time greats has retired today so i think he deserves an appreciation thread where we can talk about his best moments and show our appreciation for him.should take our minds of yesterday, he had so many great moments.my personal favourite has to be his redemption against arsenal to end their unbeaten run.that celebration was just priceless.a years' frustration all let out in those few seconds.and of course not forgetting the character he showed to step up and put the ball in the net after the year before.ruud i salute you.a word fired around too often but a true utd legend!
