whyalwaysus 19:I've followed the past 8 windows very closely. Have learned not to get my hopes up over a transfer because most of the time its just b.s. like all the sneijder and villa stories
I would probably say since the Ronaldinho transfer story, so that would be 2003 I would have though
However, its only since last year that I've been following stories through using twitter, which is a whole new kettle of fish and despite 95% of it being rubbish, the shear volume that is on there does make your mind wander and think there is a glimmer of hope for superstar A or B arriving here
To be honest, although I know most of it is rubbish, I actually enjoy a lot of the stories branded about just to watch people saying "I told you so" when they knew nothing, or stupid conflicts!
More than enough to know that what hits the press is mostly way off the mark and now with even more public access to world wide platforms all that has only got worse.
There will be a lot more "hazard" (very apt name as it definitely is a hazard to learning anything of any real import about transfers in!) situations on twitter to go through yet, and all this before the transfer window has opened! so nobody can actually officially sign now anyway!
If it is more than say 2, has your experience changed how you approach the window and all the so called news?
