    United4191:
3 unsuccessful loan spells and barely any appearances for Spurs tells you something.
This is pretty much what i was going to say.

The kind thing to say is he never settled in England but you don't see other teams from Spain/Italy/France looking to buy him. All the hype of saying he is the Mexican Ronaldinho must of been a heavy burden for a young player. Taking a step down and joining a team like Swansea or West Ham would let him be a big fish in a small pond and he can get regular games.

    Re: Giovani Dos Santos

Im not saying he's the best out there, personally I think we need to improve our starting 11, not our squad, so someone like Lewandowski or Falcao are my ideal buys. But many on here seem reluctant to see that as it won't allow Welbeck or Hernandez a good run in the team. Gio is used to not playing often as a Spurs player, barring his cup runs. So surely he will only see it as a step up to make it into the United squad. But I agree, I think we need a top class forward.

Hes a good talent but hasnt really shown at Spurs mainly due to lack of playing time.I think there better options out there like Lewandowski etc.

    Giovani Dos Santos

The situation with our strikers is that with Owen released and Berbatov an almost certainty to exit Old Trafford, we need another striker. However, it has to be someone who can't just walk into the team alongside Rooney as this would affect the growth of Hernandez and Welbeck. So what about Gio Dos Santos? The guy is young, very skilful and pacy, a team mate of Chicharitos on the Mexico squad. A no brainer to at least look into surely?
