Yeah i really hope we win it next season. We are the best in the history of the competition but haven't won it in in 8 years, it's not right!! I can remember in 2008 another treble could've happened if it wasn't for Portsmouth, that was one of the most frustrating games ever, it just wouldn't go in.

    Re: F.A Cup

I would love us to win the FA Cup, still think it has some prestige amongst the english players, it's annoying actually, since Chelsea have been taken over, in there run in to the semi final, they have NEVER played a team above the championship, they have won it so many times because they have had such easy runs and so much luck, especially this year just gone, against Tottenham, the goal that wasn't and then the Liverpool game, got totally outplayed in the second half... So I hope we get a favourable run in the FA Cup next year, I would love us to start winning some cups again :)

The 79 game perhaps for me the best moment, not because of the result, it was because of that game i'm a United supporter. Just goes to show i'm the smart one of the family because most of them support loserpool and all i can say to them is hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I agree with OP, Im always saying how its important to put out strong line-ups to win the FA cup for the first time since 2004 but I'm afraid as long as we keep treating it as a second rate competition and sacrificing it then i highly doubt we'll win it

I know the FA cup may not be as glamorous as it used to be but we haven't won it since 2004 so I think it would be nice to win it again next season. Of course the league and Champions league are way more important than the FA cup and I'm not saying we should sacrifice them for it, I just feel that it would be nice to win it again. Anyone else agree? Sorry if this type of thread has already been discussed- I'm new to the forum.
Every season key players seem to pick up injuries which really hurts us in regards to both domestic cup comps. I think we end up putting players out there that perhaps should be rested, we just get stretched a bit thin.

Yes I was thinking the same thing, it would be nice to win it next season. I wouldn't mind at all if we went for the Carling Cup as well.
always think Carling Cup is better for the youngsters. no matter how far they get.
but yes i would love to win the Fa Cup... it's been a while
Yes, we have a lot of youngsters that need games in that competition. Although in 2010 when we won it, Rooney and a few other first team members started featuring around the semis.

yeah, when it starts to get serious we'll roll out the big guns but ultimately i think it's for squad rotation and youngsters. you know you're in bad shape when Carling cup is the focal point of your season (liverpool) ah***

True, I just enjoy us winning a domestic cup once in a while.
