What about nicklas bendtner?? He is out of favour at arsenal and will be cheaper than lewandowski. He can be a target man and a NO.9. He is playing with renewed confidence and did very well at the euros. So what do you think??
Great idea OP. I feel we should sign Bramble and Heskey too.
Can we afford them ? you know that the club is in huge debt , dont you? .
what is love? Manchester United is love

He barely cut it at Sunderland.

I think for a few posters here they are placing more emphasis on his Euro play then on ALL the games he has already played in the premier league. I would guess that the good managers and scouts are doing the exact opposite.
You might want to add in all the games they have played at international level too.
Lewondowski has started 49 games in the Bundesliga scored 30 goals - 9 assists.
Lewandowski has started 6 games in the Champions League, scored 1 goal - 2 assists
he has played 45 games for Poland scoring 15 goals.

Bendtner has started 65 games in the EPL, scored 30 goals - 16 assists
Bendtner has started 15 games in the Champions league, scored 9 goals 2 assists
he has played 52 games for Denmark scoring 20 goals

Looking at them play, they have very similar styles, and well not so different stats either. I´d rathar go for Bendtner, as he´s cheaper. But I don´t want either at United for now. Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez are enough.
Ok but what does any of that have to do with what I said? Did I mention Lewandowski or that I wanted him? Nope. But ok.

    Re: Nicklas Bendtner

I actually think Bendtner and Lewandowski are very similar players, they are the same age play best when they are alone upfront. Bendtner scored 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 games against the biggest teams at the Euros. Lewandowski comes away with only 1 goal in 3 games against much easier opponents. I don´t think we can use either one, but Dortmund are trying to get Bendtner from Arsenal, if they do, he just might overshadow Lewandowski next season.

I knew you would be flamed for this thread OP. But I kinda get what you are saying. Bendtner has actually been extremely good for Denmark, and he would score many goals at a team like ours with the strong wingplay. He aint the right target for us though, but I believe he still might proove his critics wrong - after all hes only 24.
Agreed. Got potential, but not good enough for us.
