    Re: Rooney Excuses

I think Rooney alone cannot be blamed for England exit from the Euros but the whole team I think was of a level to reach the quarter finals and not further!England went as far as it deserved to go... FULL STOP.But the Euros show better perspectives for the future of England team..its up to the coach to engineer all this for the future!!!

He was poor. Let's not forget he got himself into this mess by getting suspended for 2games. He was never going to be englands messiah. Quite frankly even maradona would have had a hardtime playing with milner, carroll(to be fair he wasnt too bad),etc. Rooney problem is that he digs a whole for himself and it takes him some time to recover. I hate john terry. But i must admit that guy has amazing mental strength. Time and time again he gets into trouble but it doesnt faze him. England exit was not down to rooney. But he was definately one of the many reasons why they are out.

The only thing unwanted is Berbatov and his bulgarian followers.
    City bought the title
City have ruined football with the money
    City are the devil

We need to buy Falcao Lucas and Modric though

Well, its painful reality check – any team who rely to Rooney is trophies less, Man Utd or England…Rooney poses unique ability to use the team’s resources just for his own benefits, but when the moment of truth comes, Rooney simply didn’t deliver. Exactly what already happened in Man Utd seasons 2009/2010 and 2011/2012, World Cup 2010,EURO 2012. So, nothing unexpected about Rooney, the best Man Utd and England player. GOD help us ,next season ….
Bulgaria win nothing. Berbatovs getting sold. You need to *** off and watch Sofia or some other ***team.
Ha,ha,ha… good idea to change the real/ unwanted subject with false one. I am sorry, but this doesn’t change the truth about overrated Rooney and nothing to do with different non existing players...

Its not exuses, its an explanation of why he doesnt perform to his best.In 2006,he had broken his foot two months before the World Cup and that ruined alot for him. This time,he messed it up himself by getting a red card and suspended in the first two games so he again he wasnt in form as he had no game time for a month. It doesnt help England that there is no winter break in PL like in other leagues in Europ so players doesnt get any rest over a season.

Rooney is a worldclass player,he will soon be all time top scorer for England and for United.Of course Rooney is not on Ronaldo or Messis level but who is besides them? No one, because they are on another planet. Its not Rooneys fault the stupid english press calls him to "the white Pele" which is totally stupid and puts even more pressure on him.

You say that ronaldo and messi are on another planet so that means thay are truly world class on the world stage and so that means you admit Rooney isnt as good as them so therefore he is not world class
    I agree with me23

Jonta: so are you telling me there are only 2 world class players??? So does that mean that all the other players arent world class?

I will fight until i die

Why cant anyone of this forum ever hold their hands up and admit when one of our players dont play well? every thing is a bag of excuses its incredible lol
That was fairly evident, so why should we bash our own players?
You see this is the problem with alot of people. If you say something like "Rooney was poor the past few games" your apparently bashing a player when your just making an observation.

Excuses? I know that Rooney and Young didn't perform at their best, but I don't stop there. I see why they didn't perform at their best. Was it them? Was it the team? Was it physical issues? Was it lack of match time? I go deeper and see why our players don't play well. I don't just stop at "they don't play well, period." Sometimes I say it's because said player is off form. Sometimes it's because said player can't fit into a system. Sometimes said player isn't match fit. Sometimes said player is trying something different but not doing it well. There are many reasons why a player might not do well. It isn't always "oh, a player isn't doing well, he himself is bad."

why not? they get paid enough that i feel they should be bashed when they under perform. if you are earning 200k a week and you under perform you deserve criticism in my opinion.

Can anyone name an international tournament that Rooney did shine? Neither Sweden nor Denmark dreamed of winning the Cup and they are just happy being here, only English press thinks England is far better than these 2 countries. If Rooney is born German he will win something, if he is born Portugese they would have built a team around him, like what they did on CR.

    Re: Rooney Excuses

I haven't seen that much bashing of three United players in a thread since the 6-1 loss to Manchester. City! It was horrible. And it looked bad on all of our parts on our support and made us look like plastic fans. When Rooney is doing well he is world class to pretty much every United fan, but when he doesn't play football for a month and does bad in two games he is a lazy slobs who is nowhere near World Class, seriously?! Rooney is definetly World Class As for young, he was below standards, I think it was mainly due to the fact that people expected him to due really well. There was a lot of negativity yesterday and I didn't like it.
