We need Modric more than Rodriguez. If Nani leaves, then Rodriguez can be an option. If not we would have Ashley, Valencia, Nani, Kagawa, Rodriguez - and Powell, competing for two positions. While we've got bupkis in the center of the pitch. Anderson? William H. Christ. Clevs? Prone to injuries and too inconsistent. Giggs and Scholes cannot play every game.

Oh, and Pogba's leaving. That leaves Carrick.

I wouldnt pay no more then 25million for Rodriguez.I agree that a LB and a CM are more of a pioirity for us.

With Owen already gone and Berbatov very likely to follow him as he has no future here i think Rodrguez could be used as a winger.He can battle with Young on the left wing with Nani and Valencia battling it out on the right.

So you would spend 30 million on a 4th choice winger, and apparently that isnt even enough. If were going to sign again it HAS to be in the middle of the park. IMO someone like De Rossi would be perfect here, add a bit of bite and aggression to our midfield as well as class and experiance...
