    Re: fletcher cant be trusted

Dont really care what the scenario is as long as the lads fit and of reasonable health then thats all that really matters

Re: fletcher's illness cant be trusted

You clearly have no understanding of ulceral colitis and yet you feel qualified to make a worthless statement. It is a condition that affects the intestines mainly during digestion. Sir Steve Redgrave suffers from the same illness. By your summary, we are lucky that his illness didn’t just “come on strongly” whilst he was winning one of his 5 olympic gold medals! Think and research before you post.

Don't like your title one bit! The poor man is ill FFS...Here is another scenario: Fletcher manages his illness and scores the winner in the last game of the season... handing us the title.

Sounds way better than your doom and gloom post!

That´s what I like about you Nibor1 always the suttle approach. I like your scenario way better to.

The odd scenarios people on this forum come up with and to date not one has ever come true. Reign in your imaginations, the things you make up in your head are just fantasies.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. Everyone knows the situation with Fletch, especially the people at the club. Nobody is counting on him at this point, they are just not saying as much and are leaving the door open for him out of respect and decency for a player who came up through our youth team and has spent his entire professional career here.

i hope your right and he does score the winning goal in the last game but im being realistic. Its not fletcher the person we cant trust he will always give is all its his illness we can never trust
I understand what you are saying, but other footballers with this problem have come back. The worry I have is that Fletcher's game is all about fitness and energy...we shall have to hope and see what happens.

Im sorry to say this but imo we cant trust fletcher anymore. He has been great for us and always gives his all but unfortunetly his illness will never go away. Just say he comes back and plays well during the season but in april when we are going for the title we are drawing 1-1 with 10 minutes left and need to win. Suddenly the team were playing go on a counter attack and fletcher's illness suddenly comes on strongly and he cant get back and it costs us the game an ultimately the title. How would you feel its not his fault but people will still blame him. My point is you never know when his illness will strike and for that reason we cant trust him. Its sad because he is one of my favourite players.
That's quite an extreme scenario but I see where you're going with it, with my limited knowledge of his illness though, it isn't something that suddenly comes on and then he can't go on, I believe it's something you feel coming on and if that's the case, he could signal to the bench to get him off ASAP, but again, my knowledge is limited and this is what I have interpreted, but no, we can't rely on him being a starter ever again sadly.
