    I think giving Valencia the number 7 shirt is a great choice.Since hes been ere hes been very consistent player very rarely has a bad game hes just unbeatable a top class professional.I dont think Valencia will feel any more pressure despite what the number 7 shirt means to the history of Man Utd in fact i think Valencia will go down as 1 of the best players to ever wear the famous shirt.A great choice .Hes been very consistent since joining United he will flourish.I just dont believe some people on here i really dont talk so low out through their own *** its unreal.

    This pretty much wraps up uniteds current situation where our number 7 is a one trick inconsistent workhorse who barely scores. Not flaming valencia here, he had an amazing second half but hd some horrible matches between it and this is basicly his furst year ever where he maintained more then 3 matches of good form. We went from players like best, beckham, cantona, ronaldo to valencia as number 7 and that tbh is quite embarassing. Number 7 is supposed to be our starplayer and well, if valencia is our star player then we áre seriously ***

    i agree mate however i think your wrong in saying hes bad or anything, hes a good player however he will never be a star player. and for the people saying owen got it. owen at one point was one of the best plays ,maybe the best at one point in the world and sir alex gave it to him right after ronaldo so nobody would feel under pressure.

    I think this man only judge great player by statistic and goal......yes valencia not have too many goals but can you tell how much assist he makes???....he is man utd player of the year last season.....he is the fastest and strongest player at man utd squad.....his movement always make opponent defender look slow.....i think you should watch every man utd match since 2009-2012 and after that you will agree that valencia is our most consistant player in man utd....even rooney not consistent as him.......

    On top of my head the two milan games in his first year,the Arsenal game when he scored a goal and assisted Welbeck this year,all the games vs Chelsea in the league and CL in 2010-11,against Bayern when we won 3-2, and many many more against PL teams.

    Valencia's our best winger, but he's not a special player. I think number 7 should have been given to Rooney and number 10 to Kagawa.
