As for Gotze and Kagawa: Goetze Was injured for 3 weeks before Christmas, all in all played in 25 games, and started just 21 of them. Kagawa Made 6 assists before Christmas and scored 8 goals in 23 games, that's an assist or goal every 1.6 games when, according to you, he didn't do much.

from what i have seen of Gotze i don't think he is that great,i mean i have seen very little of him playing but when i have seen him play he seems to have very little impact,maybe i just seen him play on an off day.

Are you even trying to get into the debate of who's better kagawa or Gotze? Gotze was injured in january you moron. Lets see how kagawa cuts it in the premier league. He made 6 goals in 23 games, in the german league, yeah he's quality lol.....

I'm a huge fan of Goetze, who, in my opinion, is the best young talent in the world, but you just proved you didn't watch Dortmund last season and just went with the big name. Goetze was injured for the best part of the season. Kagawa, Hummels and Lewandowski were the important players in their set up.

Well "Thug" it is this type of player that we need......Names dont hurt, but a player in this mould will hurt any team.......Is Ya Ya a "Thug" Is Tiote a "Thug" Is Gerrard a "Thug" ........Call them what you like but, these type of players will win you games.........You have to win the "BATTLE" in Midfield

Well you can be a thug and know how to pass a ball or position yourself in a game. If Yaya Toure is a thug, give me a thug anyday. Last season, City also won the title thanks to their thugs. Toure, De Jong, Barry, Milner: not the best footballer out there, but when things are not ticking (you will always have off days), their strength, physical pressure and hard-work paid off to win over many teams. I however do agree that relying on thugs only isn't the anwser: look at City in Europe where they have been ridiculous... But so have we lol... my point is we are in need of such a player who can make the dirty work or "win the battle" as you said when things are not going our way. But there are thugs who are intelligent footballer and can offer much more than "thugging". it seems we agree on this one Thomas ;-)

i am all for having a defensive rock in midfield,but i am just saying that most people moan or referees book players when they put a good tackle in,to me it appears as though they want to take all contact out of football and make sure the only contact the make is with the ball and nothing more,as soon as you touch a player they are rolling around on the floor.

As much as i hate liverpool,Shane Long went over so easily yesterday it was laughable,Young last season was the same,Nani has been the same in the past,its something that really spoils the game,could you imagine if any of these players were playing football in the 60s/70s heck even the 80s
