 i think benzema is great but we dont need him, anyway i think hell be heading to real madrid in the summer. i hope we meet real madrid in the champions leauge and thrash them 100 - nil.

I am a big tevez fan but for £30 million, i'd rather have benzema, tevez is too similar to rooney and rooney will never be dropped....Benzema offers something totally different and somethng we really need right now.

I totally agree! I think that's why he was dropped. Sir Alex wanted a target man, so if Rooney and Tevez started, then there can't be a target man. Since we know Rooney would never be dropped and Berba has to play, the obvious choice would had to have been Tevez. I'm not saying I support that choice, but that's what I'm sure took place. I'm sure Sir Alex is looking for another option to have on the bench, so when that player comes on, he can change the game. Rooney and Tevez are similar players and so that substitution may (I said may not will) not do any good. However, having someone different like Benzema on the bench can certainly add to the game. I'm not saying I want Tevez to leave, but if he did, I wouldn't blame him. The logical replacement though, would be either Aguero or Benzema.

 Haha, I like how it states that it will be announced today on Sky Sports. I haven't seen anything yet, but I guess we have a few more hours left. This probably has no truth in it, it is Wiki afterall. I could make up information that would have more truth than Wiki has at times. This would be a great signing, but I agree with the previous poster that it shouldn't be at the expense of Tevez...though I do think that Benzema is the better scorer, and overall better player.  

Wikipedia shows that he is a United player.

This was teh same with Berba Wikipedia showed him as a United player much before he had joined United.

Now it is the same with Benzama.I would love to see Benzama at United but not at the expence of Tevez.

It does say on Wiki that his Current Club is Manchester United (on the side with the career stats and the Picture) but it also says his current club is Olympique Lyonnais and it also has his Manchester United number as 10, which wouldnt be the case, as Wazza occupies that shirt. Basically its not true, well not yet anyway, but football is full of surprises and in that sense it could well happen, but i very much doubt it.

err sorry mate but were not exactly free scoring are we?

berba doesnt score many, rooney has 4 good games followed by 10 bad ones, tevez isn't in good form due to lack of gametime and will prob leave, and we dont have an attacking midfielder who chips in with 15 or so goals a season, chelsea have ballack, lampard, liverpool have gerrard, scholes used to do it for us but no longer does, anderson can't shoot..the only one who consistently scores is ronaldo and we can't just rely on a winger to get all our goals.

so yes we do need a player of benzema's class someone who can put the ball in the net regularly, he's different class simple as that, i watch a lot of ligue 1 and the way i see it is he has the finishing of ruud van nistelrooy but works harder and can score form outside the box too. If we signed him, trust me all u 'we don't need him' supporters will be eating your words very quickly....this boy is pure class

I very much doubt it but who knows what may happen we have to wait and see but if we did sign Benzema then im sure it would be the end for Tevez but who knows maybe we can sign both of them and then our strikforce would be like this

Tevez Rooney Benzema Berbatov Campbell Welbeck that would be perfect for us but like i said i carnt see us keeping Tevez and then signing Benzema its one or the other and i would rather sign Tevez on a permament deal but like i said anything can happen we just have to wait and see what happens in January and next summer whether Tevez will be here or not i really hope so.

But like i said i carnt see this being true.
