Berba had only one chance because he had to drop deep and do Fletcher and Carrick's job to link MU defence and forward line.

Not that CM aka Fletcher and Carrick were not playing well. Just that Fletch was playing too low and too defensivelywhile Carrick was bullied in the middle.

I've seen so many times central defend and full back taking long pass to Berba, Rooney and Tevez just because the genuine link between them was simply broken.

You have a big problem mate if you dont noticed him , because Berba pleyed very well this game - get back to middle and organize attacks,tackles ,get back to defend...Many of the "supporters" here have the same problem !

and people are saying we need to see more from a £30m forward, he doesnt get alot of chances, yet he gets one and scores. 1 chance 1 goal, he's had 1 chance and taken it END OF!

The question is why did he only have one chance? We had 25-30 chances in total and Berba just one. Why isn't Berba where he is supposed to be to be able to get more chances? We didn't notice him because he had a poor game until the goal. Why are you giving him creds for stuff he didn't do?

 

You are right. Last week I answered to a friend supported who critizised Berbatov. He has prove me right this week and my comments on Ronaldo, Rooney and others has been vindicated.The part that is keeping us up on the top is the defence and some of the midfielders not all. The strikers  are either sleeping or under some influence which is preventing them scoring. This week against Middlesborough is a clear expample of what I am trying to put forward. Come on, SAEF, you agree with what I say as I have read your comments. So lets do something to end this dry period of goals. A True Red with a pair of eyes.

berba was involved in every single attack we had....you know why....because HE STARTED THEM......you guys just look at all the negatives in him...THE ONLY THING HE DOESNT DO IT RUN LIKE A CHICKEN WITHOUT A HEAD!....every single pass he makes is meaningful.....the people who aren't seeing the positives in berbatov should really stop watching football because the game isn't about running running and running....its about passes, flicks, dribbles, and shots, teamwork, and coorperation.....man united is lacking all of this in the midfield...

Berba scored the winning goal and that makes up for everything else he did or didn't do during the game. We are out there to get 3 points and we got 3 points. IF he hadn't scored that goal then he would have had a really weak game, almost invisible and slowing down the game when he got the ball, but he did score that goal.

If his every game is weak but he scores the winner in them then I'm satisfied.

Some guys here are just unbelievable... Berbatov played an awesome game last night, he hardly made any mistakes, he made a few brilliant passes, and he was part of most of the team's dangerous attacks. Then he even scored the winning goal... And people still spout nonsense about "work ethic" and "not breaking a sweat". This is Berbatov's style of playing, get used to it. Hell, if you're a true United supporter, you should have embraced it by now. A player doesn't need to run around the pitch for 90 minutes to be great. Berbatov plays intelligently, relies on positioning, and thank goodness! Because his brilliant positioning skills won us the game last night.

 not slating the guy just for the hell of it  and i certainly dont feel a disgrace for what i wrote in my thread. i just expect an awful lot more from a player who cost us over 30mill! for me his work ethic just isnt good enough and if i upset other people on here by saying anything along those lines then fine.he scored the winning goal and i take my hat off to him because apart from rooney(again) nobody else looked like they were capable of scoring. i'd be delighted if berbatov ended up with 20-25 goals this season but he needs to put himself about more and basically look like he's prepared to break sweat in a game! i think that privately,saf is a little dissapointed with him so far.

I hope you people who just slated Berbatov, feel like disgraces themselves!

Once again you accuse Berba with our problem... Actually Berba is playing quite well in my opinion, isn't doing mistakes but can't get any opportunities.. He isn't our problem.. the problem is lack of creativity.. Carrick is trying but can't do everything by his own.. Fletcher sucks, sorry to say it.. he is simply not good enough, can only paly as a backup... his passing are laughable, and he is not even as energetic as always.. Bring Scholesy for Fletcher quick!!!!

Also, I think this year our percent of goal scoring is ridicolous... I can't believe we finished the hald time on a zero draw... Ronaldo should have scored twice, Rafa should have scored his chance, Carrick should have scored.. it's ridicolous.. If we want to win something this year we have to start getting something out of our chances...

Also O'Shea and Evans should never get the ball to start our attack.. they can't pass a ball..

Its obvious the problem is in midfield. It lacks creativity. Anderson should be playing more often.
