It was truely a game to remember. Beckham scoring arguably his best free kick for us, Ronaldo getting a standing avaition of us after his superb hattrick and of course, our desire to keep on plugging away at that aggregate scoreline.

Personally, though this match was entertaining, the 1999 FA Cup Semi-Final replay against Arsenal was the best match I ever saw.  It had absolutely everything in it; from sending offs to spectacular goals, from controversial disallowed goals to a last minute penalty save.  I was emotionally exhausted after watching it and you don't get that too often.

Wasn't this the game that Scholesy was suspended, and Becks played with a cracked rib?

I remember being irritated with the way Becks was playing when he came on, lofting the ball in the air every chance he had, no real attempt to make plays or any effective passing, and we needed another goal to go through in the Champions League. We could have gotten the extra goal if we'd have put the ball on the ground bu tBecks just kept hoofing it in the air. It still irritates me, the outcome of that one.

Scholesy was on fire at that time, it was a huge loss that he couldn't play in that game. Becks was off to Real after that one.

you know, sometimes i'm happy to see united win 4-3 with squad like this:

    Manchester United:

                                            Ron Robert Zieler

Rafael da Silva    Richard Eckersley   James Chester   Fabio da Silva

Lee Martin      Rodrigo Possebon     Tom Cleverley     Zoran Tosic

                            Danny Welbeck         Federico Macheda

    Real Madrid:

                                      Iker Casillas

Sergio Ramos           Pepe         Raul Albiol         Gabriel Heinze

Cristiano Ronaldo     Kaka      Xabi Alonso      Franck Ribery

                       David Villa         Ruud Van Nistelrooy

    it will be funny.....

The equal match would probably be something like this:

    Van Der Sar
    Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra
    Nani, Fletcher, Hargreaves
    Rooney, Higuain, Benzema

    Sub: Anderson, Carrick, Berbatov

    Casillas
    Ramos, Albiol, Pepe, Chivu,
    Ribery, Kaka, Alonso, Gago
    Ronaldo, Villa

    Sub:  Garay, Sneijder, M. Diarra

Best Football Match ever - Manchester United 4 vs 3 Real Madrid

Just thought I asked for your opinion on this match...

    line-ups:

    Barthez
    Silvestre, Ferdinand, Brown, O'Shea
    Keane, Butt, Veron, Giggs
    Solskjaer, Nistelrooy

    Beckham, P.Neville, Fortune

    Casillas
    Salgado, Hierro, Helguera, R.Carlos
    Makelele, Figo, Zidane, McManaman
    Guti, Ronaldo

    Solari, Portillo, Pavon.........

Man of the match : Ronaldo (Madrid) and Beckham (Man Utd)
Had Scholes and Raul played instead of Fortune and Pavon... this game would've been the perfect all-star game in the history of club football.
