think the best answer to this question is Champions Legue. Look at the past 3 years. 3 Premire League teams manage to qualify for the semi finals in the past 3 years. Other English team lost playing against another English team. That speaks volums. Furthermore there has been a Premire League finalist in the last 5 years or so. La Liga cannot boast like that. Only Barcelona showed that they can compete with English teams. As far as RM goes. Lets see what will happen next season. Don't forget that they last won the CL in 2003 when there was no player with European Player of the year. Since then they had at least 1 winner of the medal but never won the CL. Hope the trend continue!

People need to stop thinking that the top four teams in the EPL represent the whole league.   During the 1990s the only teams  to play real football in the epl was utd and ***-naaal.

Now we have four teams that are will to play the game. all the rest are just trash. they could not string 5 passes together.  they are long ball merchants and thugs the whole lot of them.

Until every body trys to play football they can not be compared.

I have aljazeera and show sport channels

On aljazeera we can watch the spanish la liga while on show sport it is the epl.

the only matches to watch from la liga are:

barcelona vs rm

 and sometimes a madrid vs valencia.... but not in the last two years

as in the epl

MAN UTD vs liv

chelsea vs arsenal

everton vs liv

MAN UTD vs city

spurs vs arsenal

etc.........

there are more than 8 to 9 teams you can watch and enjoy the matches.

It is either pple are idiots or think that  any league is merely a competition between two clubs as la liga is only rm vs barcelona

there is no best league there is just one you follow and one you support. i support the EPL but you dont see me touting it as the best. a lot of this has to do with where you are from. and exciting? watching hull vs west brom is not my ideal of exciting football. not saying etiher is better but it just comes down to wear your from. i wouldnt expect you english to be excited for k-league games....

Sorry to all La Liga fans but this is my honest answer.

 Premier league is the most exciting league in the world, have you ever watch La Liga before? Its dead boring honestly apart from watching top players there.

I really think that the Premier League is the best league, because it has more than 2 teams challanging for the league title, whereas La Liga have only got Barca and RM. And Ronaldo has said that the LA liga is the best because of the best players moving to the league, but its not to the league it's to RM. I personally dont believe RM will do well because of these players, they might not gel together and play as a team, but if they do they might become unbeatable, and that makes them the only contenders in the LA Liga, you need a bit of excitements in a league, and that what makes the premier league the best league in the world.

 watching Barca for the last 6 seasons have been really great. They are more fun, entertaining to watch more than any team in EPL. The EPL is very technical, sometimes we played entertaining football as well, but that all was due to Ronaldo, now his gone. Lets hope Valencia can bring excitement again to United. but definately i feel LaLiga is more fun to watch. I watch no less than 10 games every weekend from different leagues, i think that the LaLiga is much exciting. "now starting Killing me"

I don't care about the stats.I will always prefer the good,old fashioned English football then cheating,acting and diving and that is exactly what you can see in Spain.the Italians are the kings of diving but La liga is not far away.Football is a mans sport,no place for cry babies.If football became a non-contact sport then i would rather watch snooker.
