    Re: Some news from Spain

The problem is not so much the money. Real Madrd are prepared to pay 55M and Bayern are more or less ok with this quantity. But Hoeness is clever. He knows money is not everything, if you can´t buy anything with it.

Thanks for some interesting insights Nightstar.

Your point about Ribery is well made. If United fans fear our ability to attract the big names, how much more difficult is it proving for the Bundesliga?  As you say what use is the money if you cannot replace anything close to like with like!

do you remember a certain cristiano ronaldo pledging himself to utd, just a few weeks before he left and slammed the door in utds face?

i dont think promises mean anything in football you should know this

I agree. Kaka said the exact same thing when Manchester City offered millions for him he rejected it and says he wants to stay at AC Milan and hopefully captain it one day. 5-6months later he's off to Real Madrid.

You think if we tried to maneuver a trade with Ronaldo it would have worked? But Higuain had such a great season and it would be a great shame to see him overlooked this season. What about Real's interest in Maicon, why would they want Maicon when they have someone with Ramos' caliber?

"would have worked" belongs to the past already. fergie wanted nothing else but 80m cash, he has got it now.

Sergio Ramos is a very good player ... having had a bad season. He has no back up. You can´t leave him on the bench when he has a bad phase. Not a good situation. As Ramos can play nearly anything (from RB to CB to right wing if necessary), Maicon would be a good idea. But because of his price will probably not be signed.

Ramos can play as a centre back too so maybe he'll move into the middle

But he's so much better at RB, he's also very good at CB but he's definetely best at RB, and surely on course to becoming the best RB in world football (before Rafael matures obviously).

Sure youre entitled to your opinion its just that your opinion is stupid

First question would be, if Real Madrid would sell any player to United (which I doubt).

But Higuain (Casillas, Raúl, Ramos) in any case won´t be sold to anyone. Take my word for it.

I'm not so sure about that Nightstar, It wasn't so long ago that Reals new President said he wanted to keep a good relationship with Utd but then again stranger things have happened

I know, what I´m talking about, believe me. :-) But I won´t start this discussion again. I tried to explain it once - and I am able to learn not to repeat it.

If United try to sign a Real Madrid player, we will all be wiser. And if not, it doesn´t matter anyway.

    Fair enough, no probs

Just 'cause it's reported in spain doesn't make it true.

there's no indication we actually wan't aguero, and if we got a bid accepted teams like chelsea, city and probz even the milan teams would bid also, and they would offer  twice the wage and a player like aguero is only intrested in money!

not to mention the fact we don't even need him.

we should be lookin at david silva, out and out left winger.

why buy aguero when we've got rooney!?

Nightstar, You think Higuain could be a realistic signing? Because honestly I can't see us signing any of those listed, but surely Higuain wont want to compete with all the players Madrid are signing and after the season he had he deserves to play week in week out.

First question would be, if Real Madrid would sell any player to United (which I doubt).

Are there any other teams after Aguero...... that you are aware of?

Apart from the fact that Chelsea are connected with about 500 players at the moment you mean? ;-) No, I am not aware of any other serious story. (Thankf for your text in other threads.)

About Rossi:  More than a year ago Rossi told me personally he had no bay back clause in his contract. I have no reason not to believe him.
