NEWS (not "predictions" as some want to understand)
Valencia
The whole panorama could change a bit tomorrow. Valencia is a desaster since a while. Huge debt, Soriano was replaced by Llorente, because he had promised to sell plots, but wasn´t able to. Then Villa to Madrid, later the deal blew up, Benzema signed by Real instead. Then Villa to Barcelona, Silva to Real Madrid maybe .... a long story.
But now there wil be a press conference tomorrow. Soriano seems to be back with 51% of the shares and a new group of investors.- again the one to control the club. Let´s see, what he has to say tomorrow. If he was able to solve the financial situation, might be that he stops all transfer action and both, Villa and Silva, stay at Valencia. (In any case both won´t leave Spain, that´s for sure).
Eto´o
The News of the World story has no back up in Spain up to now. I personally don´t believe in it. Eto´o turned the ManCity offer down, as his plan is to stay one more year at Barcelona, leaving for free after. It was more or less te same story last year: Eto´o being conected to every big club in Europe - staying at Barcelona at the end of the transfer window. Pep Guardiola would love to see him out. I doubt that Eto´o will do him the favour. If Barcelona can´t get Villa (see Valencia), they are prepared to go for Forlan. But always as a replacement for Eto´o ... and as I sad, they have to get rid of him first, which I still can´t see.
Huntelaar
Yesterday it loked very much as if Florentino would send him on loan to Milan. Later Valdano warned Florentino, that if he senrt Huntelaar away on loan, and with about another 10 players still needing to leave, many other clubs would try to sign Madrid players in loan and that would be the wrong sign at this stage, Valdano thinks. For that reason they were talking about selling Huntelaar. But in the end Florentino last night said no to Galliani (both have a very good relation since a long while), as Galliani wanted to pay the same for Huntelaar as they had offered fo Fabiano before: 15M. Real Madrid are not prepared to listen to anything lower than 20M (and want 25M in principle).
Aguero
Enrique Cerezo said this morning, that he was fed up of all rumours going on: "Our position stays the same. If anybody wants to sign one of our strikers, there is a clause and a bill prepared. Nothing more to say about it." - On the other hand Atlético want three players now. Up to yesterday there were Guiza and Pirlo. Now they are interested in Salvio as well (12 - 15M). Impossible that they are able to pay those signings without sales. Which mean, we are where we were yesterday and the day before: Clause or nothing.
The story about Nani + millions for Agüero still seems to be exclusively english talk. Some media in Spain mention it, but in Spain itself there is no source backing it up to now.
Ribery
Ribery will go to Madrid (2009 or 2010) or nowhere. That´s what he made very clear. It´s an incredible soap opera gong in, but opera never is over before the fat woman sings. Bayern always said, the wouldn´t sell Ribery at all, period. The frenchman stated "Real Madrid or nothing" - his club responds "Nothing then".
Hoeness is a very tough guy, really tough. But even Van Gaal seems to begin to see, that holding the player against his will is not a very good idea. He just said, he couldn´t guarantee Ribery was part of the starting 11 in the first official match.
The problem is not so much the money. Real Madrd are prepared to pay 55M and Bayern are more or less ok with this quantity. But Hoeness is clever. He knows money is not everything, if you can´t buy anything with it ). And as Sneijder strictly says NO to a move to the Bundesliga and as no dutch players would like to play for Van Gaal (they hate him, which I understand perfectly, horribe guy), the negotiations are stuck because of that at the moment. But as the wife of Ribery is in Madrid and yesterday was on a shopping tour with Zidanes wife, there might be news soon probably - or not.
