Another wise deal from the master strategist SAF

It's very evident that most United fans greeted the free transfer of Michael Owen with mixed feelings considering that we just lost two great players ( Messers C. Ronaldo and C. Tevez). The die-hard ever believing school (SAF) of thought United fans (which I can boldly lay claim to) are elated at the quick conclusion of what I see as a pivotal signing for the club and come May 2010, I will be justified.

I'm even more pleased that till date, the so-called Big name players that were been paraded by the press over the course of the last months and which will most likely continue, none has been seriously linked to the club. In Michael Owen, we have got a tried and tested goal poacher with a vast experience in EPL.

With the amount of chances we create and with his fox-like instinct in the box, SAF has just got the right antedote to the departed duo. Since the days of Ruud Van Niesterooy, we are yet to see the predator and box attribute from our other strikers.

I know most fans will be very apprehensive because of his recent injury woes but I believe strongly that he has overcome those setback at Newcastle and like he rightly stated in a recent interview that he's as fit as can be and rearing to go. We can only wish him the best and expect a goals return for the faith and confidence reposed in him by SAF.

I see a better season ahead for Man Utd, with competition in all fronts, the players we have on board and a few more to come will do themselves proud and prove to the world that once again that we are bigger than any one or two players. Manchester United is a story written on characters and as the saying goes '' soldiers come and go but the barrack remains the same''.

Come on great lads of OT, roll up your sleeves and play the best football for which you are noted and keep bringing smiles to our faces in these times of global economic melt down.

    I rest my case.
