Re: The season has ended for Liverpool!

    purefootball,

I was really surprised to see this thread reappear suddenly. But when I saw your post I understood, why.

Brilliant! Rafa has conceded that they need a miracle for Europe. I am with you, I think they need a greater miracle to have a chance in the league.

So why not make an offer for Torres?

    avi0500,

It will be amiracle for Liverpool to win all their remaining league matches!

This season they are out of the league, have no doubts!

    Cheers!

    purefootball,31 October 2009

Rafael Benítez last night conceded Liverpool need a miracle to qualify for the Champions League knockout phase after another late Lyon goal devastated their hopes of earning themselves a reprieve at Stade Gerland.

    Guardian,  04 November 2009

So now, Liverpool will need a series of miracles!

well the defeat to them is even more bitter when they are having such a poor season,

It just goes to show how obsessed they are with beating us that they managed to raise their game so much against us.

That is why they will never win anything. They are focusing on the wrong prize.

I agree, Utd always focus on the ultimate prize (like winning the Premiership) whilst some of the small minded teams are busy focusing on beating us only. To me the ultimate prize and happiness is beating the top 3 teams and also winning the Premiership.  That is the sign of a real champion. "To be the best you've gotta beat the best". We've beaten Arsenal, hopefully we can beat Chelsea on Sunday. Spurs this year are real contender for the top 3, so we gotta beat them too. Chelsea seem like the biggest threat to us this year.

I would love to see Everton in next year's Champions League while Liverpool sit and watch, now that would be sweet.

Delighted Carragher got sent off against Fulham!

He should have been shown a red against us, with what he did to Owen.Owen would have gone on and scored for us I'm sure about it.

Did anyone watch Carragher's interview on Sky Sports before the game? He said he cannot forgive Owen for becoming a Utd player.

Yeah what about all the revenue they will lose, their all but bankrupt already .............they will have to sell players next year.

Im one of the people who got excited everytime lost their game since last month and now im still excited the fact that they will be kicked out of the champions league and may not win EPL at all. But but but.. again, not being pessimistic here but for the league? i dont think its safe to say that they are out of it cos believe me, having 27 games left is not like having 6 games left. There were seasons where united won the league even when they had 10 games left and was still 10pts behing the top team. So i rili wudnt be ahead of myself too much cos i hate being a jinx to our club but hopefully they loses more games. hahahaaha and surely they will be all demotivated and start to play worst and worst and worst.

I wonder if Torres will consider transfering to clubs like Manchester united and Chelsea? im sure he wud hate it if he plays in Europa league.. ahahhaa

I hope Lyon will beat Liverpool this coming match. This will plunge them deeper and deeper into bottomless trouble. I would love to see Liverpool in Europa league only

If we lose at Chelsea, and they win at home to Birmingham, they'll be only 4 points behind us.

Don't write them off just yet, you know how jammy they can be...

dont agree. if chelsea beat us it doesnt matter how close liverpool are to us, they are still 9 points off chelsea. also we have had a much much tougher start than liverpool, chelsea or arsenal. we will start seeing easier games and they all meet eachother with city in there soon. that will be interesting.

There was an article in one of the papers' sites, saying Rafa blames everyone or thing but himself. The posts, mostly from scouser fans, backed Rafa. They're as delusional as he is. Let 'em dream on... the longer Rafa is in charge the better.
