Not a Glory Hunter at all man or else we would all be too shallow to type about this ***.
I love them because they're special. Lets face it Manchester United is in terms of its history and tradition is a unique club there is nothing like it on the planet.
Okay i was kinda born into being a red but it didnt take long for me to fall in love with them and football in general. Since i was about 4 or 5 i can vaguely remember watching match of the day with my older brother, and i vaguely remember posters and action figure things in his room of Cantona and Giggs. Beckham was the first players name i remember oh and Scholes because my brothers nickname, christened by some English man living on my road, was the Irish Scholes because of his precosious footballing skills and ginger hair, But i also fell in love with the whole team in around 2001 because i started to really become big into football.
I've been to 2 matches at Old Trafford so far, including a 1-0 victory over Chelsea and autographs from my 2 fav players at the time, Van Nistlerooy and Ronaldo. Im not sure why but Solskjaer was allways to me the most awesome and Keane also especially cos of his Irishness and that.
I also, years ago watched a video which my dad bought called goals of the century, it featured the likes of Pele, Cruyff, Van Basten and Maradonna etc.. but also Best, Charlton, Cantona and Giggs which helped give me a sence of the clubs great history aswell as documentaries on the tragic Munich Air disaster.
Have i allways supported them? Of course! i even followed them during the phill Neville/John o Shea midfield years and Roy Carroll the goal keeper and Ferdinands ridiculously annoying hairstyles, a period which saw us fail to win win the league for like 3 years.
