Re: Sky Sports Andy Gray & Paul Merson says we will lose

Well said Ingham i think some people are being very stupid in here tbh...were not good enough...should of done much better...Valencia is poor....bla bla bla...

Every single one of our players can hold there heads high today, we were excellent and we only lost due to ANOTHER pathetic reffering display going against us, its getting beyond a joke now it really is.

We go away from home to the most formidable ground form wise in the country, against the most on form team, against a striker who is the hottest in europe with our 2 first choice centre halfs missing, we dominate the game, stop Chelsea playing, make them look ordinary but we lose due to the inept decisions of the ref!!

We had a stone wall penalty turned down (same as midweek when Fletcher got booked for diving which is a disgraice), the ref gives a free kick when Cole has just litterally jumped into Fletcher after winning the ball and then just to take the biscuit, Drogba drags down Brown (refs view was blocked as he couldnt be botherd to move) while also Drogba should of been flaged for interfering with play while being in a offside posistion after dragging our centre half to the floor.....i mean come on.... WTF!!!

Its no use us at the moment setting up, playing out of our skins with injuries, controlling a game only for all our hard work to be taken away by the man in black who game by game are just getting worse with United. Lfc game should of had a pen and Carragher should of been sent of (did the same a week later vs Fulham and he gets sent off), we have a stone wall penalty on Tuesday turned down and then we get a player booked for diving lol and now today when we have played brilliantly whether some on here like to think differently and we get done by the ref again....you cant write this stuff, injustice is not the word and i really do think Sir Alex's moan about Mr Wiley is paramount in these inept refs we have been having making big calls against us.

Ive been on the genreal discussion board and noticed a thread saying 'Valencia is poor' well wtf was that dude watching? He had A.Cole in a spin all game, more so than i have ever seen a certain Ronaldo ever did to Cole, he didnt give Cole a minutes peace and he was fanstastic today so i have no idea what the poster was on about. Anderson was brilliant and did exactly what the boss asked, Fletcher and Carrick dominated (not bad for a midfield so many in here have written of dont you think) Rooney did what he could up front on his own getting some half chances and making something out of nothing, Evra showed A.Cole how its done and Brown and Evans were mountains and basically didnt give the most in form striker in europe a sniff....all in all the lads were brillaint but we were robbed plain and simple.

Now Giggs has been immense and was in parts in this game, but i really do think he stayed on to long as he was tiring around 60minute mark and the right side of Chelsea was there for the taking as soon as Obertan came on that was evident, not blaming anyone but Ryan could of been brought of sooner for a fresher pair of legs.

NOBODY and i mean that, NOBODY can have any complaints about our players today they done everything they could only we got done by Atkinson simple as that. United went into this game with patchy form, missing our 2 first choice centre halfs and Berbatov injured against a team who have been solid and efficient all season, on form, scoring for fun and playing at home and we dominated........only problem is we didnt get a result and it was down to Martin Atkinson...nothing else.

The lads can hold there head high no question about that.

    JR_Lewis:

well they were right, we lost again!!

    arsenal for the league!!

nothing is won and lost in november

arsenal have played well against three teams-United,City and West Ham and only picked up one point from the possible nine

today was the first time we had outplayed the opposition and lost, the 'best in the world' as some were saying, all the experts lining up our demise, lambs to the slaughter, one legged man in a fight,a turkey at thanksgiving whatever analogy we were the victim and yet we gave the best performance at stamford bridge since 2002,without ronaldo, tevez, rio, berba and vidic!

are we perfect? No,we need to improve in certain areas and today the missed chances suggest either a look at another creative player in January or dare o say another striker? I'm not qualified to decide what we should do,neither are you. The fact was today we outplayed the form team and came away empty-handed,that is life and football i'm afraid, throwing in the towel will not help us,if you're only concerned with results than take a break from football and come back in may when you can fairly judge our season.

No team yet has established themselves as the team to beat,we have played well in patches but also relied on luck, chelsea as we have seen today are not the unplayable force the media would have us believe and arsenal are still struggling to beat teams as I mentioned earlier when they are playing well. Their defence is still suspect and a mini injury crisis and their squad will be exposed, our team was depleted in key areas today and yet for the most part it wasn't evident, that is the sign of a team that is capable of winning the league.

Stretford Enders we are we are zigga zagga zigga zagga oi oi oi

look at chelseas form this season and compare it with ours! they beat liverpool 2-0 we lost to liverpool 2-0! we barley deserved a win against arsenal! whos got more strength! we are also missing ferdidand he usually deals with drogba but that was before!!

to be honest i have no hope for this game but i dont belive it is a title decider exactly what fergie said lol he knew that  he may lose this battle

get villa and lose owen! replace ronaldo properly, with a talented player not with someone you admired before.

Now ive seen the lineup im slightly worried, i just cant understand how we've ended up with so many injuries! we've not got masses of amounts of games like we had last season!

We look weaker than we did last season, and especially weaker than chelski.

But a lot can happen in one game, we just have to hope for the best.

    Silenced Chaos:

when will ever Andy Gray say we're winning?

Well United had the oppertunity to buy Andy Gray in the Eighties and they turned him down. I guess he still has some emotional baggage.

of course! that way he became a hate-him-&-I'll-love-you pundit for us!

    resentful silly man

    Albert Mukiria:
The last time we went to Stamford Bridge on fleeting confidence and wobbly form was back in 2006 and we got hammered 3-0 handing Chelsea the title. Chelsea saw the gap and took it in emphatic fashion. I would love to make a case for United come Sunday, but i just can't. We have been very fortunate in many games except Spurs and Wigan where we excellent, and Chelsea want to make a statement in this fixture. This is the perfect time to beat United!!!(from their point of view) The Pundits are actually right on this one. Chelsea are looking more and more like the side Jose Mourinho assembled and are itching to dent our fragile confidence even further. There are too many questions marks about the United team this year whilst Chelsea seem to be slipping into gear. We were dreadful against Liverpool(who are still struggling albeit that win) and Chelsea have far superior players than them. Superior midfield, the most in form striker presently(92.3% return to be exact) and a miserly defence that has only concede once in the league so far. Where on the field can we match them? Can we outscore them, boss them in the centre or even shut them out? Doesn't look likely. To me its not a question of who wins but how many Chelsea put past VDS come evening on Sunday. Only one Winner and they will be dressed in Blue.

Have to agree with this. For the first time in years I'm hoping we finish top four rather than expecting to challenge for the league. I don't think we've ever been such underdogs going into this fixture. Lets face it, Chelsea didn't have to improve over the summer as their two main rivals decided generating revenue from transfers was of a higher priority than strengthening their first eleven. Not bringing in quality players 'like United have done for many years' to replace what we lost and to replace the few aging stars we already have will add up to us not being able to compete with the big teams.

Not buying players because of an inflated transfer market seems like folly to me. How is it going to get any better with Chelsea now looking likely to buy all round them in January and the likes of City, Barca and Madrid not looking to slow down in their pursuit of the best players in the world.Truth is that a season without success will eat into every last bit of that transfer fee we received for Ronaldo and we still won't have improved the team.

I will be watching the match through the gaps in my fingers today, praying that we can pull something out of the bag. Almost every neutral pundit I've heard talking about this match has tipped Chelsea and you have to say it's not because everyone hates United, it's because we couldn't get value apparently.

about chelseas the best team in the world at the moment,,, shutup u complete idiot

chelsea havnt faced anyone good enough this season yet to say they are the best in the world so stop hyping them up more than they are,,,, yes they are playing good but any team that loses to aston villa and wigan isnt the best in the world,, we have lost 2 aswell the same as them so we are just as good as em

    Hi Ashish Varun!

Your quote: [Hopefully Fergie and his boys will have learnt their lesson at Liverpool and play with more determination and focus tomorrow.]

I think you pointed it out well and if they haven't learnt their lesson they'll definitely get thrashed.

I'm not being pessimistic. I want Manchester United to win. But, like you said., if they haven't learnt their lesson, then - - you can expect Chelsea all over Manchester United.

    Cheers !

they have home advantage ,so the ref will be favouring them and these games are noqmaly tight decided by some decision or other, our defence and midfield dont look to good aswell.a point i would take .
